    Hi Guys,

I just wanted to stop by to say "Hi". I am a long time VFR fan, and now I am an official owner of the 7th generation VFR. I am 47 years old, living in San Jose Ca. Although I have been riding on and

off for almost 25 years, i would considered myself a novice

rider at best. I really liked the VFR forum and got much useful info from here. I am looking forward to share the VFR experience with you all.

I have been lusting for the VFR since the 90's, but never have the guts to ride one. My first real bike was a 1994 HOnda VF750 Magna.

I recently purchased a used 2010 VFR1200f with a manual transmission. So far the seat is as hard as a rock! my buns needs a hand rub after 3 hours on the saddle. windscreen does not do much for

my 5'7 frame/ 145 body. I am sure with a few minor modifications, it will be perfect!! It is a little heavy when walking the

bike in parking lot, but when moving, this thing is like a rocket compared to my other cruisers. I am sure it is too much bike for me.

    Thanks for reading my introduction,

    JOhn

    Hi and welcome
Thats alot of Bike for someone your size.
Alot of your Model have been called back to have the engine checked over.
If possible check out if yours has been done or is in fact one of the Models involved in the call back.

The first thing I did was set tire pressure and changed all the fluids. Sent the bike to Honda dealerships to have the drive shaft recall done. Made sure all brakes are good to go. I don't know if the previous owner ever had the ECM reflashed, I don't feel any restriction at all. I will have to check the ECM to see if it has Don Guhl sticker of any sort.

I did installed the new Saddleman seat kit today, installation was easy and the result was fantastic. No more sliding forward, crushing my delicated tomatoes when I brakes. No more sliding backward under acceleration. My buns don't get numbed after 2-3 hours riding today.

I am sure it is a lot of bike for me, maybe a lot of bike for at least 95 % of the riders.

    Welcome to the forum.

Great bike, highly underrated, and usually a great value in this market.

Living in CA you have plenty of space and beautiful riding all the time to practice your skills and get used to this beast. Should take no time. Have fun!
