I guess if California and New York were in charge of electing presidents then winning the popular vote would be a done deal. No other votes would count.

 

For a motorcycle forum, this is very bad. People need to keep their positive inclusive selves here. Calling people African garbage and worse is not too nice. It will create bad feelings for years! This is a site for lover's of the V4! That's it. Whether I live in Somalia, Iran or Canada! Whether I immigrated from where ever as well. Whether I live in New Zealand, Cambodia, Iran, or United States! This is not the place for peoples hatred to spew forth!
My grand parents came from Romania, were pioneers in Canada. Worked hard breaking the land. Lived in a sod hut. Etc. etc. People back then hated them because they were not from "here". They never spoke the language. But they learned. They paid taxes. Immigrants today do the same. I too, get down on them because they are not "Canadianizing" fast enough for my liking. But, if you look ahead a generation or two, you'll see a huge difference. I think its been that way for a long time.
I guess I will close this thread and not participate, because this does NOT belong on a VF/VFR/V4 website. Put yourself in the persons shoes who just had their home bombed. You have a young family. Would you move to Canada, or the States?

 

Excellent question. Maybe Great Leader will offer up some rooms in one of his hotels until some of these families can resettle. As to making a determination that the current political agendas that are affecting millions in real time not some two or three generations down the line, this is a sad example of being out of touch.

To dredge up a motorcycle example, Harley-Davidson cancelled an invite for Great Leader to visit the boat anchor factory out of concerns of demonstrations.

 

No need to guess if the Electoral College over the popular vote in the 45 dudes who have become POTUS. New York State was admitted to the Union in 1788 and California in 1850 so only one real time presidential election would have been in the loop.

Several sites on the www that have chronological dates of admission to the Union are available for a sorts of exercises in revisionist history, alternative facts, conspiriacy theories and probably a couple that include Elvis sightings.

What is hoped for is that Great Leader does a Richard Nixon and bails oot before he really fucks up my country with his lunatic ravings.

For me it really boils down to something quite simple with Trump. As an American you should be asking yourselves one question, do you think your president should be having Twitter squabbles with movie stars?

I am all for Great Leader's squabbles with movie stars and some of the characters they play. Godzilla comes to mind.

Great Leader probably has spellcheck so I don't worry about that.

Not agreed, for better or worse if you don't like the odd political or strongly opinionated thread in the " Anything goes " area of the the forum then don't read it otherwise VFRD is a good site for things VFR and where all things controversial or at least not a mild beige disappears.

I was going to mention that this was not in a 2 wheeled thread and that almost anything goes counts political crap too.

 

It looks like the orange is fading to beige. Great Leader had a shot at getting a better "do" but now he's got the Hollywood crowd including the tech folks all pissed off so we can only hope the new administration doesn't take his hair source off the endangered species list.

I suppose there may be a little misunderstanding on my agreement here. Far be it for me to comment on a post or thread that is not motorcycle related. I've done my fair share of that here. I am agreeing to the comments about the racial slurs and immigration comments. Just because I agree with the poster about that does not mean everyone need to. Although anyone who likes to utter racist comments on an open forum is a cunt! Including those who like to make racial slurs to white people too, and seems that gets by the acceptability mark most places.

Understood, thought you might have been suggesting heading towards the VFRD side of dull.

After the decade+ here it is clear I'm not but it takes all sorts and all kinds of opinions to make up a community my problem would be if agressive abuse occured directly between members at which time a moderator should be informed.
