Gee I am impressed, a cruzer Honda women out rides me too here. I am simply not able to take long rides, but my gps works and my hard bags are now panted black, so its ready to go on some real trips. Very very few women ride bikes far except for the Harley riders-they do ride far too.

I'm nervous for sure. Had some shady characters talk and ask personal questions. I'm making a huge effort to lie about plans, which is so hard for me to do.

I used to have soft bags. I found that their so called rain covers to be as useless as tits on a bull. Tjrew them in the trash soon after I bought them. I started packing my stuff in white Glad trash bags then put the bag in the case. Doing this kept everything bone dry for several years of travelling and commuting in pouring rain. Food for thought Annie.

I'm sure you will be very safe in Canada. You may need a plow for the VFR if you are going to Winnipeg though. Have fun, still so envious....

Your honda key makes a great weapon. Keep it on some sort of key ring you can close your hand around and have the key protruding through your pointer and shove it finger. Carry it that way all the time.

LOL ... no snow here. Been mostly in the mid to high 20's most of the past few weeks, even a day or two above 30C already this year.

Wow, looks amazing. At least you haven't encountered too many bugs. LOL. Wait till you get to Manitoba, where the mosquitos have been known to carry away small children. LOL

Keep safe AM and even though none of us are there to cheer you on (well, not yet anyway) there are likely few of us reading this that don't wish we were doing the same thing. Definitely something exhilarating about going for a long vacation on a bike and not knowing what will happen next............ Tomorrow is another new adventure just waiting to happen.
