Where abouts in Gippsland, some are ok but I can't think of special places, across from Loch to the coast around Kilcunda is good and from around Moe across to Launching place is good

Try this for a good loop...I love it. Pakenham to Launching Place, then over to Noojee & Neerim. Down to Warragal, into Drouin then down to Poowong & onto the Bass Hwy & home. Some good pubs along the way for a feed too....Toolshed is a great winter pub with a massive fire place & good parma

That loop would probably be the best in Vic at least down south and an easy days riding on a good sunny day

Trent (BitterOasis) in Canberra - fixing up an '82 VF750S that was given to me free after sitting outside (under a tarp, at least) for 8 years... It'll be a few months before she's ready but I can't wait to hear her purr :)

New to the forum. Crashed my old bike last year '07 Suzuki GS500 and now that the bones have finally knitted in my hands and wrist, this is my get back into riding bike. Picked it up from a work mate, not 100% working. Should have it back on the road in a fortnight.

truewheel from Freo. Just found a really tidy 6 gen Candy Red '06 last weekend.

First big bike after doing my RE's on a CBR250R ABS (written off by a cage); his insurance coy then paid for a Ninjette, then when WA finally caught up with the rest of the country and introduced LAMS I sold her and imported a GSX650FU from Victoria, which I sold last Saturday, next day I had my viffer - "Ruby".

And today I fluked 2 tix to the Dockers prelim final this weekend...it's been a very very good week

Got plenty of mods planned but gotta save some more coin first.

First one is losing those stock cans. Ruby needs to rumble that beautiful V4 heheh.

Talk to TheToad on OzVFR. What he doesn't know about south Gippsland roads probably isn't worth knowing...

Actually, speak of the devil... ;-)

Hi Alan and a belated welcome to the MadHouse.:welcome:

Sorry we failed to spot your arrival on the forum. With your summer approaching I hope you are out and about on the VFR not staring at a PC. If you get a chance it would be great to see a picture or two of the bike.

    Take care

Hi Andy - and a belated welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

I hope the rain has indeed stopped by now and you are enjoying the start of your summer and the vtec roar. Over here we had our first snowfall of the winter last Monday so sadly it won't be long before the VFR will be tucked in the garage until spring.

    Take care

Hi and welcome to the MadHouse.:welcome:

I am glad to hear you have recovered from your crash and will be out on a VFR soon. When you get a chance it would be great to see some pictures of your VFR.

A while back I had a red/black GS500F which I took for a 2,500 mile spin around Europe - great fun bike but so down on power it really struggled to tag onto the others. By comparison you will find the 750 a lot more eager to launch itself at the horizon.

    Take care

Thanks for the welcome. I'll post some pics up soon when I've downloaded them from the phone. Bike is back together now, working well just got to find time to get it in for a blueslip for rego so I can ride it on the road.

Glad I gave it a good going over because a full service history means crap all. Service 3,000km ago according to the book. Oil was much older than that. Plugs had never been pulled. Front brake fluid and clutch fluid had turned to Jelly from water contamination, clutch master needed to be rebuilt, carbies out of sync, list goes on. When I told the guy I bought it off what I found he was crest fallen for having paid for work that obviously never happened. He thought it was just getting old. Thank god I bought it cheap.

P.S. I miss my GF500F. Might have had half the horsepower of this bike but in the tight twisty back roads of NSW I've embarrassed bikes over twice its engine and power size. Such a forgiving bike and so economical in both fuel and parts. Shame they stop making them and didn't update them to modern standards.

Had the VFR for a little while now, but I've been spending most of my time just browsing the forums.. and posting a bit on VFRD

    But for the big list:

    Caitlyn, south Brisbane
    - Y2K Movistar 5th gen, bought in 2010 and currently up to 135,000kms with no sign of slowing down.

Hi Caitlyn - welcome back to the MadHouse :welcome:

I was wondering where you have been since 2012, but I guess 135K explains a lot.

I really like the pictures. Certainly the VFR really stands out in the group.

    Take care
