Tired of riding around with a nasty looking bike.

Stripped off the old cracked, broken, and rashed plastics.
Ordered a new Tyga rear, and AirTech front.

The Tyga kit comes with rear bracket, fairing, lights,
HRC break res, HRC rad overflow.
The AirTech is made to order so it will take a couple
weeks. It replaces 6 stock parts with 2 for a cleaner
    look.

While I am waiting for parts I'll clean the mill, and wire
and anything I can put a rag on.

I've got the first two coats of "FLAME RED" paint laid
down and couldn't wait to see what it looked like.

Looking good so far. Do you have web addresses for Tyga and AirTech? Did the Tyga come with a seat or are you having to get that seperate too?

warning, best to make a big order rather than just a small one
shipping on the rear and new glass was over 300 bucks:rolleyes:
The kit I got will use the stock seat, however no
rear seat can be used. I wasn't planning on haulin
around anyone anyway on this small bike.

    http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/

is in cali so shipping isn't bad but best I can tell they make
up your order as you order. So, best to call ahead if you
can or find something to do while you wait.

Did lots of cleaning today. Took off the air box cleaned
inside and out of it. Top of the engine and behind the
raidators. Tried a product on the frame that I have used
on my boats called "Woodie Wax" this stuff removes that
milky funk on aluminum and makes it look new. It can be
purchased from most any good boat store but its a
    pretty penny.

I have also started on my color sanding and clear coats
on the tank, rear fairing and front mud guard. Will post
    more picture when they dry.:peace:

The paint seemed a bit dull so I did some two tone
color. I think it sets it off a bit more.

    Looks great!

That two-tone look is great. I like how it flows. Unfortunately I own a 3rd gen which gets left out of most aftermarket cosmetic choices without going over seas and spending nearly $1k for one piece. oh well. Still looks awsome, FLY.

Thanks guys. Like I said this is my first bike
and also the first time I have ever tried to
do anything like this. I'm now just sitting idle
waiting on parts, front fairings and Convertibars
to make the ride a little more cozy. I have
purchased all the paint in my area so I also have
to wait for that to restock, hope by the time I
get the fairings in everything will be good to go.

    I'll keep ya'll posted.:bolt:

My Convertibars are in, for someone like me who has never
worked on a bike they were one more pain in the ass! But,
I can tell you. They have got to be the finest quality I have
ever seen. The adjustibility is too cool, you can move them
back to you or away from then you have height. I got the
zero degree which means they are really 90deg to the forks.
Really cool stuff. I'll take you a picture when I get them
    all sorted out.

To get full use of them I will have to have break lines made,
this will be much easier than trying to go to a Honda dealer.
However, I will have to see what throttle cable will enterchange
with the one I have. I need about 6-8" more for full adjustment
of these bars. Really excited about them. WELL worth the
    money and then some!

So, its been a bit from my last post. I have now
gotten my hands on a bench polishing wheel and
have polished my rear sets, fuel cap, vent cap,
and pegs. Also, have taken off the front break
    calipers cleaned and painted. Converti-Bars
    installed, bike speedo installed.

Anyway, I decided to pinstripe the seat fairing
my paint work was far from perfect on the lines
between the red and white. Not sure how
    this will show up.

will post more pictures in the week.

I HATE WAITING ON PARTS! I have polished all that
I think I can pull off the bike without taking the thing
    to the ground:pout: ....

Took off the front wheel, paint stripped it repainted
and polished the lip. Took off the break rotors and
polished those also. Painted the fork ends they were
VERY jacked up. Cleaned and painted the calipers.
Polished all the bolts holding the rotors, axel, axle ends
spacers, you get the idea. BLING BLING. LOL

Now you guys know I would take pictures but then
you would see how freaking nasty my shop is:biggrin:

Ok I have been saying I would add pictures so
here they are. I think the best way to learn one
of these things is to just take the damn thing apart.

I have had the front end apart only I need someone
to show me how to do the fork seals. I have now
installed new wheel bearings, ohhhh hell I'll let the
pics tell the story. Even polished all the bolts that
    I have taken off.

Polished tank filler cap and vent cap

    shows pinstipe a bit better

The upper and lower which fit like a glove and made
to last. Very good glass work and super strong. I
mocked up, drilled holes and had things fitting
pretty well. I am now pretty well torn on what and
how I want the paint work to look.

I have a really nice Honda wing that is for VFR800's
but unsure if that will be just too much graphic.
Also, I have a few Honda stickers. Everything I have
is white and I was thinking of red like the tank and
perhaps some white on the rear like a Duc999r

    Thanks for the compliments guys:biggrin:

Had a pretty productive night. Started working at
about 5pm and got color sprayed on all the fairings
and was able to shoot clear on the upper and lower.
They were dry enough to work with by 9 or so, I
couldn't stand it much more so I had to hang them.

Funny how when you mock something up and have it
fitting great take it on and off the bike a few times then
after your done shooting it the damn thing just doesn't
want to go back like it did before. Anyway, I had to jack
the bike up over a foot to get the front lower on without
    scratching it on the floor.

Came out pretty nice only a few little blems here and
there. I cant wait to get this thing out in the sun.

Whelp this just about does it for me. I have
everything painted, not perfect mind you but
good enough until its too cold to ride. Now its
going to take me as long to clean my shop as
it did to clean this damn bike. I'll take better
pictures if I can get it out in the sun tomorrow.

For now I just wanna ride!
Thanks for hangin in and check my progress.
