No I am not getting rid of my beloved 2013 VFR 1200F. I did sell my 2014 FJR 1300ES and bought a new 2016 BMW R1200 RT. I loved the 3 FJR's I have owned over the last 12 years but it is time to try something new. Was really surprised when I test rode the BMW how well it handles. It is more suitable "for me" on multi day rides than the FJR is. Giving up a little top end power from the FJR (that's what the VFR is for) to gain more useful sport touring features.

Yes, leaving on the BMW club's sponsored lap of KY ride tomorrow. Backroads going around the outside as close to the border of KY as possible, app. 1350 miles. Fun ride I have done twice before with them on the FJR. Usually mostly BMW's but we get a mix of bikes. Not a parade lap, everybody rides their own pace with everybody usually staying at the same lodging site each night (usually KY state park lodges). :courage:
