That sounds like a thinly veiled sales pitch. For myself, I get parts from eBay when I need them. I have been thinking of purchasing a non runner as a parts bike since my frame has a goodly dent in it but that would impart project status to the Interceptor and for now it is just a daily hack. For the most part I have been riding the heck out of it and loving it. It is nimble, quick and reasonably comfortable. I did try to keep pace with a couple of CBR1000RRs but was quickly outclassed. My little VF500F seems to be struggling above 80 but that could be the fact that it is turning over 8 grand and hauling my fat ass around. It seems more comfortable at 75 mph which is just fine for me. I do get a huge kick out of riding a bike that cost so little and it so much stinking fun to ride.
