    You will have to be lucky.
    VF500 petrol tanks in good condition are extremely hard to find.
    This time last year I stupidly bashed my tank badly, and I have been looking since then on Ebay. I reckon in one year I have seen about two tanks that were half decent. The rest were dented, rusty, holed basket cases. But still selling for large money.

    Hello fam! Umm really dont know about this bike until i deep research on it. My grandfather left me his 86 vf500 before he die. So im willing to learn how to bring this to life thats how i got into it lol[​IMG][​IMG]

    Vfworl heres the update on my vf500 shotout to mr @Mind_Surfer for the info and suggestions for starting the bike over hauling the tank and cleaning my lines next check the lines for fuel to make it start. Got a new battery, cross my fingers [​IMG]

    Jeremmy are u at cali ?? I really don't know bout this bike it was given by grand pops before he pass away.. well i haven't touch the carbs try to do it but it was hard hmmp tried to start it but it would crank but wont start and i ask they were going to charge me a arm and a leg they know im a noobie

    Not in California.
    Might be a good idea to start a new thread if you are going to ask about your bike.
    Your carbs are going to need attention. They are notoriously fickle and need lots of TLC.
    This is almost certainly why the bike will not start.
