So I'm getting my bike back up and running since my car accident a year ago and I cannot figure out what is going on. I had a new tail section that i put on a few years ago and now I re-wired the tail and everything was fine. now and I've rewired the tail twice now and I do not have tail running lights, and the brake lights only trigger with the foot peddle. I cannot find anything any where about this and I'm not sure how to trouble shoot it. Any thoughts?
your bike probably wasn't equipped with rear running lights, but the tail light (always on) may have corroded connections or a bad filament.
