There is a 4th gen that is parked next to my buddies house in the Ridgewood Area of North Lake Tahoe. There is another 5th or 6th gen that I see over in Truckee on a semi regular basis, I think they might commute down to Reno.

Hmmm. Brilliant red 6G in the Pearl this afternoon. I thought "wicked cool bike!" and then I recognized it as a VFR, and wasn't surprised.

    'Coz VFRs rock.

Well, didn't quite make it to 3 today, but I saw a red 6th Gen on Amherst St in Nashua while out for a ride at lunch. Then saw a RWB 2nd Gen on Route 101 in Milford on the way home.

    Shorty! You are observant!
I have one from far afield: Sunday July 27, I saw a red 6th gen heading west on I-70 just west of Wheatridge, CO on Sunday about 10 am. It was with 2 or 3 other bikes but I couldn't ID them all since I was eastbound. Lots of bikes (lots of luggage-laden BMW's) in general between Vail and Denver that weekend. I wished I was on my bike instead of the rental-cage...

    Who are these hooligans?

I was riding my '02 Yamaha FZ1 with my buddy on his Triumph ST to Mt. St. Helens on Monday, when we encountered four red VFR's at the Chevron in Morton. We later encountered these guys taking pictures of each other putting their knee's down on the road up to Windy Ridge. (Sorry we spoiled the picture by riding into the scene, we didn't know what you were doing, guys.)

The third time we ran into them, they were taking photos at a viewpoint overlooking St. Helens. I took a couple of shots of them as they were getting ready to terrorize more women, children, and chipmunks.

Later on, we encoutered them a fourth time riding the other way into Cougar.

One of them gave me his VFRWorld card, and his handle is reg71. They seemed like pretty nice guys, at least for VFR riders. I believe one of them said he was from Oympia, and the others were from So Cal (San Luis Obispo?).

    Who were those rogue riders?

Four VFR's riding together must have been quite the sight to behold.

I've always thought those generations of VFRs were great looking bikes, but when they rode off, it sounded really terrific. Since they all had aftermarket exhausts, you could hear them for quite a while. Beautiful music! As my riding buddy said, it sounded like a V16!

    7/20/08...

While riding around Corydon Indiana. I was leaving the gas station and spotted a '02 or '03 heading in the direction I was going. Finally caught up to him. Followed him for a good 3-4 miles. I was honking and waving and flashing my high beams. He never would pull over so I said to hell with it. Must be a jerk.

    He was pretty fat though.

Hey Racer Boy, thanks for stopping by and checking us out. You don't know it, but you had a brush with VFRW greatness. Several of our prominent members all together at the same time/place. A sight few of us ever witness.

I felt like I had been sprinkled with stardust after talking to them, :bs: so I'm not surprised by them being prominent.

The two guys we saw getting their pictures taken railing through the turns were obviously very fast, talented riders.
