According to the Dynojet guy the PC II has timing advance.

I've got a PC-II and a PC-III USB for my Y2k 5th gen, though I have only ever run it with the latter. Given that the two modules plug in different places, I wonder if it would be possible to run both, but only using the ignition mapping feature of the PC-II, and the fuel mapping feature of the PC-III? Hmmm...

    Ciao,

I like your thinking, the thing with what I heard is with the PC2 for the most part in what kills it, is the connection and software read-ability, it's so out dated nothing works with it. the PC 3 is right on the edge, only thing that saves it is the USB user friendly is still is around. and using a Dyno jet dyno helps too.

One more time, because you seem to be extra dense and just attacking every post that I make, without actually reading for content, I will just copy and paste what I already stated:

"The original post stated that he was looking for a more modern way to tune fuel and ignition mapping. That is literally a Rapid Bike Racing module. Why would I not recommend Rapid bike?"

"But this mapping on the fifth gen, doesn't leave much to be improved upon (unlike the 6th gen). You can optimize the fuel tables for an AFR closer to 13.2:1, but there goes your fuel economy (read, cake and eat it too) and the fifth gens are not very tolerant of added ignition timing, only taking 1-3 degrees of added advance, mostly at low revs and throttle, where the sixth gens will take up to 5 degrees at large throttle openings through the entire low to midrange rpms."

If they were an issue, they were much more relaxed. The fact that the 98 is fuel injected shows that emissions were on their mind, whether it was for transitioning into more strict regulations in the future or current, relaxed regulations, I am not sure. Do you have an evap canister or pair valves?

No clue but don't think I have an evap canister- not sure about the pair valves.

Yea, the 5th gen came into this mid stride, by 2000 they had gotten into the emission side of it by adding cats and O2 and of coarse a re work of the FI system. The 98-99 where pretty straight forward. Yes they all have the pair valve, which has more to do with crankcase ventilation recirculating.

The PCV is for the crank case ventilation and separate from the PAIR valves, which are just there to improve emissions. I am not sure if fifth gen is the same, but on my sixth gen, the Positive Crankcase Ventilation is the air port on the back right of the air box and the PAIR is the air port on the back left of the air box.

It's clear from having been here a few months and gotten used to your MO that you're a 1) very young, 2) a slippery eel, meaning you misconstrue or tweak prior statements to suit your argument (as in what the OP in this thread wanted), 3) know enough technobabble to sound like you know what you're talking about, which--unfortunately--sounds authoritative to some, and upon which the main objection lies, 4) when cornered, you back-paddle away from your prior untenable statement (like in this thread) and thereby change your own opinion toward one of agreement with whomever your arguing with, and 5) you still don't understand what a shill is. All very Trumpian.

This earns you the level of respect saved for Minigator, now a club of two.

Please show me where I "back paddle".
Oh wow, political attacks in a tech post, how mature of you...
This entire comment of yours is extremely ironic, by the way.

I have it on good account from experts here that you need to disconnect anything electric, unplug all hoses, and un-engineer as much as you can, that does not prevent the bike from starting, in order to add 4.6 MPH to your imagined quartermile trap speed. Though your bike is carbureted, adding an expensive FI management system would still give significant benefit; when you're going to sleep, your imagined quartermile trap speeds could go quite high. And, an added benefit is you wouldn't have to plug anything in as you couldn't because your bike isn't fuel injected; you can just put it under the seat. Keep the receipt.

For you, rubbing the underside of your wind screen with 100-peso bills before take-off would have undoubted effects on Mach 1's speed. Don't knock it 'till you try it.

    Best,

    Placebo

I'm going to try all that someday. I do think I'll use the 100 peso bills for stickers so I can look like a fast guy with a shitload of sponsors.

Just repeatedly bang your head against a wall until you hate the world/everyone in it that doesn't have the same opinion as you and lose all logic, then ksoholm's comments might start to make a little sense.

Wow that hilarious man. Good job calling me out guys. I have totally never been to the track. It is all in my head. By the way, know math isn't your strong suit, but 128-118 =/= 4.6. I am not sure where you pulled that number from, I guess probably the same place you get all your "facts" from lol.
