I posted that would like to a PNW Viffer BBQ. RVFR is planning one very soon, so I will defer to him.

Bernie, where you out this morning on I-5? I saw a sweet 86 heading northbound around 10am.

Jay, I actually moved from Edmonds to Kirkland (for 5 months) and now back to Edmonds. I would never live in Auburn:party2:

I will reschedule mine for later then and hit yours.

How did your move go? I know you didn't want to leave, but you can ride 12 months a year so I really do not feel sorry for you.

Ya, here people put their trailers on the side of their properties to store them, not live in them.

Take no offense my Auburn friends. But "Almost Live" isn't on the air anymore, so I'm just poking fun.

Cliff, I changed my original post. Jay said he will be having one very shortly. No sense in trying to organize 2 of them.

One day rain will come out of nowhere and your VFR will finally know how it feels :pound:

I did the Isle of Vashon TT

I did the VME tour of Vashon Isle today and caught a 8:30 AM ferry so it must of been some other good looking guy on another great VFR..

BTW, the ride was nice and well attended, escept for VFR riders. Only saw 2 other VFRs, both much newer.

Last time I went to a VME event a few years back I was snubbed, as it really isn't meant to be an open affair of sorts. Go figure??? I use to go to it just about every year in the 90s, thought it pretty cool, there's some nice machinery to be seen. Now not so with the attitude floating around.

In my twenties I had a bike as my only vehicle. I had to ride it in the rain every day, year round, soaking wet, cold, and miserable. I swore as soon as I could afford a cage and a bike I'd never ride in the rain again! These days I'm a 100% fair weather rider. If it looks like rain I'll drive my truck. I'm the Dopler king and won't head out if there's a chance.

Besides, my baby is just too clean to ride in those conditions. Ask Jay, he'll back me on that.

I have a considerably large vocabulary of swear words I can use regarding the organizers of this event. If you don't own some old POS bike, don't bother going.

I believe it has changed somewhat. Heck, the Isle of Vashon has been advertised in Craigslist for several weeks and seemingly open to those with an interest in vintage bike. Mine being like 23 years old is old to me, but there were all sorts there. You did not have to be a member or own an old bike. There is a good reason to keep squid-like antics out of the picture, otherwise the thing could be canceled. I did not see any thing considered questionable bike behavior yesterday. Now the first time I went, some 20 years ago, my VFR was brand new and I would have been questionable.
I enjoy all bikes, new and old and they were all there together, along with Harleys. The problem with them is you cannot tell the new ones from the old ones.
