I am thinking about hey 112/113 off Hwy 101 around the Olympic peninsula! Make it an overnighter and I'd be in for sure. But I'd do a day tripper also. Count me in.

If the intent is to create a similar annual ride as that in R3, some people may have to ride. A ride from most of Oregon or any of Washington is really not that far of a ride. There are amazing roads in both that one could ride while attending or they could slab it.

Are we camping in your back yard?

I don't know if we could match the debauchery of R3. With Randy's help though....

Hmmm...depending on the timing of things, I may put an effort into getting there. I've been wanting to expand my riding repertoire beyond Cali and Nevada...

I think camping at Lake Crescent, or Klaloch, would be in order. Hit Hurricane Ridge and Hwy 113 and 112, then around the Hwy 101 loop. Google any of these places. Hmmm, a parade of V-4 would sound so nice!

Bumping this thread as I'm interested. Long ride planned in June, so hopefully we're thinking later. I can do an overnighter if we go that route.

The wife's cool with it. 10 miles from Snohomish.

The beginning of the North Cascades highway is 60 miles of back roads north, depending on the route. Lunch and beers in Winthrop? Winthrop could be a spot to meet with riders from East of the mountains. Plenty of room for tents and a fire pit. Hand gun range for those so inclined. (It doesn't have to be said, no beer and shooting)

"But", I like the sound of riding 101 and staying at Crescent beach. It's up to you guys. either way.

PS, I'm happy to host but someone else can be ride leader.

There is lightning in Winthrop that likes to get close and very personal. I know this. Haven't stood out in an electrical storm since 2006. Hurts. Really bad!
