Good to know. I’m going to try that. I don’t think it’s a chain/driveline related issue though. This only happens after reaching operating temperature. Maybe the oil get too viscous at high temps, allowing clutch plates to slip slightly. Have any oil recommendations?

Viscosity is, very simply, how easily a liquid flows. High viscosity oil flows more slowly than low viscosity oil. Think of syrup and
vinegar, syrup would be high viscosity and vinegar is low viscosity.

Very generally speaking oil will flow easier, i.e. act like a lower viscosity, when hot.

 

I see. Would it make sense that the oil is “too slick” when it gets up to operating temperature?
