I rebuilt the slave on my 98 and now the clutch is useless! I have no idea which way the rubber seal is supposed to face that slips on to the puck....BUT I've tried it both ways and neither nets a result. What in the world could be the issue. It's properly bled, and has a good handle to it??

I rebuilt both slave and master on my 06 and had same no pressure issue. I finally used a syringe to push the fluid from the slave bleeder valve up to the master cylinder. Many micro bubbles later began to pump the clutch lever and pressure began to build up and successfully bled system, now working fine.

I had a right nightmare bleeding my clutch m/c. The first time I did it was easy and straightforward but the last time it would not operate the clutch. There was no resistance eventhough fluid was there with no bubbles. In the end i reverse bled it with a big syringe and it worked but still didnt feel right. A ride round the block must have pushed a bubble somewhere and it worked . Dreading the next time.

I buy new slave cylinders I dont like overhauling them (lousy success rate.) I have done lots of calipers and master cylinders with good success with oem kits ad well as k&l.

Was looking for a clutch slave for your bike, surprisingly I could not find an actual part, they had the clutch and master cylinder set ups. Looks like the same rig that I use on my gen3 bikes though.
