It's a sad day, in that I've decided it's time to sell my VFR. I'm just not riding as often as I need to be. So time to pass this great bike on to someone else who will keep it on the road, and not under a cover.

    $1800

    The good:
    - Supertrapp exhaust
    - Solo-seat cover
    - Lindemann rebuilt forks (1kg/mm springs)
    - James Daugherty custom-valved rear spring (external reservoir, 2-way adjustable damping). Fantastic.- Shorai LiFePO4 battery (always starts immediately, even after sitting for months)
    - I've been using synthetic oils (Amsoil) for the last 25K miles and 10+ years that I've owned it
    - recent chain (<2 years, <1K miles)

    The bad:
    - It's been down on the left side, once hard enough to crack a bunch of the body work.
    - left inner fairing panel is missing

So, it's not as pretty as it should be on one side, but it rides better now than when it came from the factory, and is a blast up on the mountain twisties, especially with the V4 screaming out through those supertrapps.

Thanks for all the advice and chatter over the years, it's been a fun ride.

An original gear driven OHV "loss leader" with less than 35,000 miles. WOW!!!

Just because your handing the keys to someone else, dosen't mean you have to leave this site Woody. Please don't go.

When I bought it (back in '06), it had about 10K miles on. Over a decade of its life was spent in storage in a garage, then the previous owner to me bought it, and used it has his first bike, and then passed it to me (my first bike). It's been fantastically reliable. And I love the sound of the gear-driven cams, lovely up at 10k rpm. :)

I commuted to work a couple days a week, in better weather, but the last few years it's mostly just been sitting there.

Honestly, I haven't been super active on here, recently (the last few years). A couple moves, a little kid, etc. Spending more time with the miata (my daughter can go on rides with me in the miata, not so much on the VFR).

I'm sure you aren't planning on any sort of part-out, but do you have any spare/extra parts that you may want to sell separately?

No, it's in too good of condition for that. I'd like to see it go to someone that's going to be riding it. I don't have many spare/extra parts, either. Just the solo seat cover and a chain-guard (which I'm bundling with it).

More like letting her go have more fun. ;) Not fair to keep the bike under a cover and not see any fun.
