Yesterday I was riding my wonderful vfr 1200 home from work until I had to make my last left turn to my street, while I was making the left turn my handle bar was stuck(like when you lock the bike when parking),best way to describe it is that your bike's steering stem is straight(0 degrees) but by the time bike is past 20 degrees to the left it locks, anyways the steering stem locked while turning almost made me lowside. When I made it home I was trying to figure out when I problem was,I was clueless, so I've decided to do 2 hard jerks (from right to left )and somehow it freed it up,I can still lock the bike (when bike is park) so I know I didn't break anything Anyone else have this problem, I'm kinda scared of making left turns now Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Tapatalk
Steering locks only work at the limit of the fork turning angle. Could part of your (really cool) custom bars have hung up on the edge of the tank cover ? How long have you had the custom bar set up ? Could you have routed the wiring looms or TBW cables in such a way as to hang up on something ? Just my 0.2 $ from a long ways away.
