What are you guys using for a tail bag? I just want something that'll hold my tire repair kit, which is about 6"X4"X2". I see there are tiny slots under the taillight, it could possibly sit right on top of the tag light, if I had small bungees, but I'm OK with spending a lil money on a bag.

Kriega have tail bags from 10ltr to 30ltr i think. I have the 10 and 20 and they clip together. My 2014 800 has straps under the pillion seat which the bag attaches to.

There are lots of options out there for you to choose from. Luggage and bags is like shopping the Sears Catalog. If it is just the tool kit, why not get a small tank bag and strap it to the rear seat or wherever./ They also come in dozens of sizes.

Except the tank bag here, these are all Cortech. I wouldn't give you bad gas for their suits but I did like their luggage.

I use an Oxford bag that I've had for many years. This has a velcro strap that goes around the seat pan, then a loop of bungy cord that fits neatly onto the hooks on the grab bars and the frankenbolts. The velcro is only there as a back-up if the bungy cord goes TWANG.

Ventura Rack has some really nice options. It's more than just a tail bag though.

    I bought this one:
    http://www.thecycleguys.com/honda-vfr800-98-13/

The carbon fiber look matches the Sergent seat perfectly and it looks like part of the bike.

It'll hold a six pack of pint beers. Also holds my tennis shoes and I can cram my boots in there when I change. Great to store a rainliner and a sweatshirt for when the weather changes. It slides around a little bit and some reviewers said the straps broke but I haven't had a problem.
