Hi. I am a new member with an '84 VF750F in Juneau, Alaska. I stumbled on this community by accident. Pleased to meet all of you. A quick question as my first post - has anyone already figured out options for tank bags? I am planning on a 300 mile ride in several weeks and I don't want to wear a backpack!

By the way, this is a comfortable bike that really pulls and handles well! The suspension is fully adjustable I'm enjoying it immensely!

Welcome Jonathan. We re glad to have you as part of our group. We have a member map that you can input your location and a chat room. Come on in and join us.

I don't have any experience with tank bags. VifferVixxen has one but I do not know what brand and there a number of choice available from those that strap on to those held on with magnets.

jonathan, i just bought the joe rocket manta based on a reccomendation from someone on the list. it's good for short trips as it only holds a few things. Someone on here mentioned the Icon urban? I think for longer trips. Icon seems to get pretty consistently good reviews. I have been watchin ebay for one.

Hey, thanks for the ideas. Seems like this website will be a good resource for me and my '84 750 Interceptor.

I have been using a clip on style Tour Master TB-18 for the last ten years. Having two Interceptors I made a second harness so that I can move the bag from bike to bike. Great bag, lots of storage, four small pockets around the outside, rain cover, does not move. I also have a Tour Master Cortech 21 Liter. Also a great bag, it's bigger and expandable.

Also, I forgot to mention tourmaster sport style saddlebags. I looked at some yesterday at the local dealer. They were about $130 and looked like they'd hold enough for a couple days. I'm a lite packer, though.

I went from the small JR manta to a rapid transit. It's magnetic and has straps for use as a backpack. It also has an available water bladder for longer trips.
