Canada doesn't have a President. They use the metric system.

I haven't had a chance to try this out yet as the bike has been off the road. I did keep a log of my e-mails though and have put them in book format for easy reference:

Like someone said usually more than once until it became popular," You can't judge a book by it's jacket."

I've learned that no jacket is waterproof. they are water resistant, but not waterproof.

There are some jackets that are better at keeping me dry than others, but I don't expect to be dry if I'm riding in a downpour.

So an update here everyone. Due to many reasons, I did not get a chance to really test this jacket out in a good ride in a fairly decent rain until a week ago. Well, I got wet. I was out riding at typical freeway speeds for approximately one hour. The rain was steady but not something I would consider torrential. Here is the shirt I wore beneath the jacket:

    IMGP1021.jpg

The photo does not show it but the left sleeve is about 30% as wet as the right one. One might expect some water to get down the collar but the amount that did was enormous.

So, I sent the following e-mail back to Tourmaster and got their response. In a nut shell, Tourmaster has passed the buck to the dealer that sold me the jacket even though their instructions to me, in writing at the beginning of this ordeal, was to deal with them direct.

I can't remember dealing with such pathetic Customer Service over an issue that should be easily resolved. Give me my money back. I will go aaway less pissed off than I am now. My correspondence with them as of late:

    Dear Mr. Simpson,
Once again we're sorry you've experienced an issue with your garment. This
is not typical performance of our products. We cannot issue a refund
directly as according to the information you provided previously, this was
purchased through M/C World. Please contact this dealer, and have them
contact me. I am more than happy to discuss this with them. Also,
refund/credit may depend on the store's policy. Feel free to forward my
    information to them.

    Kind regards,

    So Folks,
And update. I did receive the jacket you sent. It is not quite the same as
the one I sent you but I just assume it is a year newer in fashion design.
Until today, I did not have a chance to test it out due to a number of
    reasons including an accident.

Today I went out on the freeway and got caught in rain not unlike what I
normally ride in through the winter during my commute to work. SO this
    would be the first test.

Attached here is the shirt that I wore underneath the jacket. Please
understand, I was very cognizant of making sure that all the zippers and
Velcro closures were properly sealed. And you also need to understand that
this much water came through not only your outer so called waterproof
jacket, but the thermal layer and a Gerbings jacket liner as well. This is
from approximately one hour of riding on the freeway in the rain.

I can understand some water getting in around the neck unless I wear
something to prevent that, but what penetrated here was excessive. I was
wearing gauntlet gloves which were tucked beneath the sleeves. The sleeves
were secured as tight as I could make them with their Velcro straps. To wear
them on the outside only allows far more water to get in. I have learned
    that from experience.

Had I known that your product was this supceptable to water, I would not
have purchased it. That said, what is your position on my money being
    refunded?
