I am hoping to get another video of a couple fly bys once we get rid of this snow and ice up here in NE South Dakota. I am getting impatient with the weather, but it helps that my bike is under wraps in another room in my garage. Out of sight; somewhat out of mind...

I just put the insert in my new Werkes can. It really quiets down the bike and lowers the tone.
It makes quite a difference to the fueling as well. ( as it probably brings it closer to stock). It's running much smoother,
and now making me feel as if perhaps the pc5 is not a must.
    Very happy with this pipe!!

I still like the lines of the DAM better than anything I've seen (besides that early prototype picture of the 12). It's just so freaking expensive by the time you get it shipped to the states.

Don't mind the lines of the DAM from a distance, the up close shots make it look pretty cheap. I have the S/S Werkes and the quality appear to be way better than the DAM.
The Werkes sounds awesome after about a 1000k's. No baffle for me, i like it loud.
The centre stand issue is not that big a deal as I only use it when working on the bike and it is just a matter of simply pushing the pin and pull it up on the stand. Drop it and pull out the pin. Saves forking out for an aftermarket rear stand.

    Cheers Rusty

If I hear you right, you can use the center stand to prop up the bike with the Werkes in place. You just can't ride with the center stand on, correct?

I did a quick fly by video yesterday, if you want to check it out. Also just wanted to say after logging around 900 miles a couple weekends ago, I love the freaking power of this bike on long trips. I use to downshift all of the time with my 5th gen, and the massive power of the 7th gen allows me to just twist the throttle and dominate in any gear. Have a great week guys.

I'm going down the same path with JB Pro and the Werkes slip on.
Spent way too long getting the Juice Box installed yesterday but got it done....
With all stock i didn't see much of a difference but hope that the slip on and new mapping will show its real benefit.

I like the fly by vidieo. Way better sound than stock but imagine it sounds even better in person.

The sound is even better in the cockpit. I believe the best and cheapest mod I have done is the Bazazz Z-bomb. That got rid of the horrible stock 1st and 2nd gear fuel mapping by tricking the bike into thinking its in 3rd gear for the 1st 3 gears.

I have another video with my girlfriend recording from the passenger seat that I'll try to get uploaded today. It's kind of long and boring without heavy acceleration. (Didn't want her to drop my phone...)

    Later guys

Any complaints from passengers with this exhaust? It looks like it would cook a foot. What was the farthest distance covered with your passenger and this exhaust?

Love the look and the sound.

I just put mine on yesterday and as you guessed.....the exhaust flow is directly onto the rear of the foot peg. This may suck for the wife on our next trip. I'll let you know how her boot makes out.

By the way.....the fit and finish exceeded my expectations. Perfect!
The sound is louder than I expected in a high pitch kinda way. I have an 06 with TBR's and feel it sounds better (more grunt)...but the power difference on this 1200 will help me get over that real quick!

Love the pipe, but sadly not available in UK yet.....could order from the states and then get taxed to death on the import duties..

I just can't get over all the extra popping I get with the Werkes. Tried tuning but it just won't go away.
I just ordered a Dam Slip on (matte/carbon). I'll sell my all black Werkes when the Dam comes in.

When I had my old vfr (02 vfr800) I remember doing the pair mod to stop the popping, would it work with this bike ? Wouldn't the Dam exhaust pop also?

I'm not sure what the pair mod is.
Good question on whether any after market will do the same.....
I was told there is O2 poured into the manifold to help burn any left-over fuel and thats what is causing the popping.
I didn't have to do a thing with my 06 with TBR slip-ons so I kinda expected the same with the 2010.
Either way, I like the way the DAM looks over the Werkes so I'll see if the same thing happens.

Is everyone else getting this popping with the Werkes? Maybe I'm being too picky on the sound.

Did you have to do the map or add a power commander to make this werkes exhaust work? or is it only Plug and Play? Do you like the sound?
    Thank you

It was a little loud for my taste so I added an insert. I just used the two brothers map that came with my juice box
