is it always the same RPM?
Do you have a power commander or such fitted?
Do you have the O2 sensors?

    That's a wierd one mate.
The wax unit moves really slow, so that is out of the question.
When cold a few things are under control on a 6th G, the fuel, the flapper and the VTECH.
Is your clutch switch working? Have you checked inside the air box?
It is always a worry when a shop has hold of it, with luck they keep you informed of progress.
I'm sure other ideas will pop up here.

    1. I think it is the same RPM. You can appreciate that I would be looking side to side and forward when starting at an intersections. So I was estimating it earlier at about 4500 but happened to see it the other day hit 5000. None the less, the engine whine sounded the same.

    2. No power commander

3.. Yes. I did mention o2 sensors to the tech shortly after taking it in as someone else had mentioned them to me.

What would be a symptom of a clutch switch not working? I just don't know. I can speak to the tech about that.
What would I be looking for inside the air box? I did have it torn right to having the throttle body removed when I first went to change the Wax Sending unit. I took one look at where that little fugger was then bundled the bike up and took it to the shop. I am confident that the shop is not going to screw me without a condom, but I am equally sure they won't cut me any deal either. If a determination does not happen by this Wednesday, then the tech, manager and I will be having a conversation on what this is costing me.

I had better not have to be avoiding taking a crap for weeks after this or someone and some business will feel the wrath of a pissed off retired mountie

Get the Renthal Grip Glue .... much better than the glue Oxford provides.

I don't have heated grips, but the Renthal grip glue is working great on what's left of my bike.

I thought I sent you a PM, i guess something went wrong. Anyway, the weekend got away from me, but I took a quick peek this morning.

I don't think I have the left clip on after all since I found the clutch master and slave connected to each other, but nothing else. I do have a sub frame, but I think a tab or 2 are missing, I'll check it out closer.

I have to pull the box out to get a better look, since it got buried in the shed when my GF's dad's stuff got tossed in there.

What Jeff said, the Oxford glue lasted 2 days before it let go on both grips.
Bought some generic Super Glue and it's held fast since.

Well I haven't done anything with it just yet, but I did get my new cameras for my 5 Gen! I bought 2 of the Innovv C5 DVR/Cameras to put on the 5 Gen front and rear. The previous cameras are still good but I have been having problems with the power cables staying put and for one reason or another the rear camera not recording consistently. Hopefully with this new setup I can get a more reliable, and longer recordings.

    Final tally. I have:

    radiator bottle
left clip on with end weight (paint on weight is a tad worn)
    rear sub frame
2 oem looking grips (good shape, dirty but should clean up)
    tail light
left dumbo (a little scraped on the point)
    Windshield (Givi Touring Screen)

Are you sure the left footpeg and bracket are good? I believe I have the bracket too, but no peg.

Let me know where to ship so I can package and get a quote.

I have 2 sets of stock bars and solo seat cover for the 6th gen.

What all do you need? I have some other odds 'n' ends as well.

Let me look. I've been waiting for my shoulder to recover more before I started taking my bike apart. I may need a front subframe, mine is bent, but I may be able to straighten it.
