    R.W.:

Well I used to shoot competition when I was in high school and college.

Trap in High School and Small Bore rifle in college.

I also began collecting guns, mostly military style weaponry because I love history. And its nice to own and shoot classic military firearms (i.e. M1 Carbine, AK, Mauser "Broomhandle" Pistol, etc.)

    Here's my list:

    Movies:

    American Beauty
    The Matrix(first one)
    Donnie Darko
    The Thing
    Mad Max
    Blade Runner

    Horror Movies (Guilty Pleasure)
    George Ramero zombie movies
    28 Days Later
    Alien Trilogy

    Hobbies:
    Ride...Ride...Ride
    MSF Coach
    I love to read books.

THANKS! I forgot Blade Runner LOL!

I asked my wife "What 5 movies do I love?" I was totally drawing a blank.

Hey, you know the true directors cut is coming out this year? It will be a box set with the theatrical version (Ford's Narration) the directors cut we own, and a third version.

Ridley Scott said he found tons of footage he forgot about, and stuff he didn't even remeber shooting! He said it will be a totally different movie!

    I am excited.

p.s. Carpenter's version, is the ONLY worth while Thing.

Dude, my excitement over the upcoming release has been bottled up for 15 years!! I will achieve a shang-gri-la without ever touching myself when it finally arrives.

Call me crazy, but I liked the original version with the narration. Made it feel much more "Film Noir-ish" like a future version of an old detective flick. Taking it out made it feel too avant garde for me. Just my opinion...lots of opinion polarity with the issue of the narration amoungst the true BR cult.

The narration version is the version I grew up with so I have a special place for it in my heart LOL!

That's cool, and I can see why you like it so much. I always thought it had appeal because Deckard just seemed so good, so natural at picking out who the replicants were, but he wasn't one. At least that's the way he's portrayed. The directors cut, well there is no question he's a replicant.

    Enough geeking for one night!

Well here it goes the hobbies are far, many & diverse; which is something I need to reevaluate due to family & money concerns.

    Hobbies:
    Motorcycling

Hunting(not really all that good @ it but I love going mainly deer w/ rifle, some deer w/ bow & even less small game. I like taking kids, mine, my wifes, my ex wifes & ex fiance's or any others that ask to go & show an interest. it creates some interesting interpersonal relation w/ my current wife but its for the kids not anyone else or any other reason so I take my lumps)

Camping/hiking( real camping not campground camping; don't get to do much of this type w/ all the kids yet)

Restoring old stuff( currently 1960 F100, 1957 Dumphy all wood boat, 1986 Viffer; boat is pretty much done, truck I've managed to move it around alot & take three box bolts out in 3 years:frown: this is my 12 year olds truck & he'd rather play video games than help so ambition is low; the viffer if it didn't run so good I'd get more done on it)

Powder Coating(started playing around w/ it a couple of years ago invested about $5000 for stuff thats made me maybe a couple hundred)

Archery(field, 3d & indoor league; most of the kids are involved to some degree)

Fishing( I think I still like to fish but w/ kids its an excercise in futility for me; they fish I bait hooks take fish off & untangle lines etc etc. Been waiting to try bow fishing looks fun but a time & money thing)

Working on cars( this one is losing its luster even @ home its to much like work these days even w/ beer)

    Movies:
hard to pick a favorite but heres a list of ones that come quickly to mind

    Red Dawn
    Blade Runner
    Worlds Fastest Indian
    Van Wilder(the first one)
    Platoon
    Better Off Dead
    The Wraith
Sex 5th Ave. ( One of those Traci Lords flicks that I was'nt old enough to own & she was'nt old enough to star in in the 80's. It struck me not all that long ago that my 1st wifes looks oddly similar atleast facially, hmmm.... where did I devolope my taste in women?)

One I just got done watching that is seriously twisted & dark but very good
The Devils Rejects, written & produced by Rob Zombie

Most of Tuarentino's stuff I like for some odd reason & I'll go out of my way to watch any of the Mad max movies & most of the James Bond movies.

Hobbies seem to revolve around things that go fast..... Of course motorcycling but I practice by mountainbiking. Good for balance and feel. I have been into cars for a while, did some autocrossing but that gets expensive fast. The worst hobby I tried to finance was a performance boat. Theres nothing like a big "needle on the water" with a heavily modified big block Chevy going 70+ mph on the ocean to get the adrenaline going BUT gas, gas again, docking fees, storage, maintenance, gas again. Where are the keys to my bike? I just love getting out on the road with this VFR especially.

    Movies:
    Office Space
    Tommy Boy
    Pulp Fiction
    Forrest Gump
    Shawshank Redemption
    Jaws 1
    A Few Good Men
    As Good As it Gets

Hey TBone-- I wasn't trying to come off as if I'm Gordon Gecco from Wall St. or something. I was a financial advisor for American Express for a few years and although it wasn't my most successful venture ever, it made me ready to do the mortgage business for the finance background, as well as manage our assets.

Unfortunately my great Uncle that we talked about has deteriorated with dimensia to the point that coming up is no longer on the table as he wouldn't remember us(me and my mom) Its a bummer, but what can you do.

About the planning end. My best advice is to seek out The Wise Investor Show on AM radio. Their email is wiseinvestorshow@yahoo.com. They would know whom simulcasts up there. Here in DC it is 630 not sure what station if any carries it there. They are value investors(no pie in the sky P/E ratios) that actually explain their rational behind stock and other investment purchases. Good show, great ideas. We fired our advisor over a year ago and aren't looking back. We were just too small to ever get anyone to really focus on us and that's really what it takes especially in difficult markets like the past few months.

Sorry guys for the diatribe.... I also love:

    Brazil
    Brother from another Planet
    On any Sunday
So I married an Ax Murderer

    My newest hobby is:
    Finding friends on VFRWorld!!

American Beauty, great flick on so many levels, I just had a American Beauty flashback when I went with the Neighbor to watch his son play High School football and couldn't help checking out the Cheerleaders :cheer2:

Damn, I knew I'd forget a couple, that movie gives me some serious humor! The Tex Cobb scene just kills me :pound:

Yea well you better say something LOL A movie of late is the Wild Hogs, that put me in stitches. I'm not that big on any one style of movie. I like so many be hard to list them all. Deep Throat, for starters brings back some wild times. any Sci Fi is good in my book. even a lot of animated ones work for me. I get into how did they do that. any of the High tech James Bonds then there's Star Wars and Lord of the rings. Hell I even get a kick out of Grease.. LOL tells yea how bad I have it, any one want to go for a ride.
