Murphy's Law includes getting stuck between floors in an elevator and the sound system is piping in Kenny G. This happened to a guy I know. He is now a full time resident of Western State.

Every day, with the iPod, or the Zumo, once I get it hooked up. Shure E4C earphones with expanding foam earpieces that act like hearing protectors. Very comfortable, and good sound even at highway speeds. I use MP3Gain to balance the volume on all my recordings. I don't think it's much of a safety issue, mostly all I can hear is engine and wind noise anyway. The plugs just bring those down to where they're not fatiguing, and I keep the music low enough that I can still hear horns blowing or sirens wailing as well as before. I figure it's less a hazard than those 500-watt car amplifiers booming out rap music through 12-inch woofers with the windows rolled up.

I listen to music most times when riding but unplug my helmet when i think its neccesary to be noise alert( heavy traffic or stoplight to stoplight). What I have done not to elimanate all ambient noises is installed bose speakers to the inside wall of my helmet and i have a female 1/4 inch jack that comes out of my helmet at the base of my neck making it easy to unplug or plug in quickly and one handed. Having the speakers not directly in my ears is more comfortable and helps to be able to hear other noises. The music is great and i've always concentrated better with music in everything else that i do. I even read with music in my ears. It also doesn't really distract me anyhow cuz i'm half deaf anyhow from playing the drums. Anyhow thats my 2 cents and i'll take it back if no one wants it.

Cden...nice gear! I have an assortment of cymbals, mostly Zildjian, some Paiste and UFIPs too. I have a Roland Handsonic for the electronic side of things. Isn't percussion as much fun as the motorcycle? (And I think they help each other...the co-ordination on the drums transfers over to the bike and vice versa...all four limbs doing different things...)

My iPod 2g Nano is in an Otter Box waterproof case, snapped into a Techmount handlebar mount with Otter's Ram Mount adapter.

I listen to music for sure. I have an XM Inno. So I can play my MP3's for listen to my favorite XM station. I put the Inno in my clear top liner of my tank bag and I can control the songs and whatnot.

Only time I've ever listened to music is when I'm on the back of my dad's GoldWing. Sounds great going down the highway. I don't listen to music because I don't ride... Sucks being 15.. But I'm getting my Interceptor tomorrow :sportbikesmile:

after I posted, I went to otterbox.com to see what they had for mounts. the one I liked was the suction cup, but I'll be afraid to leave it on. I hace a waterproof otterbox for my iPod 30g. I'd like to have XM radio, may look into one of those portable XM radios and also get an ipod nano.

If you get the XM Pioneer Inno2 like I have....you can record songs right off of XM. Up to about 125 I believe. You can also put around 125 mp3's of your own on there too. Can't beat it. Give it a look.

Ok Drewl, WHAT IS THE DEAL? Your last 6 or 7 posts (each in different topics) has been the same: "...yeah!"
Are you trying to top off your post count or is your record skipping?
