yea it looks like it might be to much of a bitch for me, im not going over the top with this bike it will be the new daily rider/corner carver after the 500 took the hit it did, plus i found all of its flaws its a really good bike i just need more power!! im getting left behind the 500 just doesnt have the power and plus the 700 has those lovely cam driven gears that make that beautiful sound so i still need to drop the engine out of it i've got all the bolt out of the engine but it doesnt seem like it want to come out any tips theres two studs on the back towards the bottom on both right and left sides near where the foot pegs bolt up to.

Ha ha, another VFR dude, I wonder if there's a VFR owners anonymous club ;)

With those stuck bolts try spraying a lot of WD-40 on them then get a hammer and pound on the head. Sometimes bolts get so stuck the threads actually move a little and hammering it will dislodge the locking.

And to prevent wearing out your wrenches try getting some duct tape and wrap them inside. Plus it gives them extra grip.

Oh, you're probably wondering how I know this. Let's just say when I bought my bike it was almost 10 years old and some of the bolts had never been removed....

Good luck dude and I'll be happy to give you a hand if you ever need it!

    Cool!

Are you going to make it look stock, or?

My 86 700 build currently has a CBR600F3 front end, speedo cable driven from countershaft sprocket, 900RR rear wheel, Fox Twin Clicker, Kawasaki 636 upper fairing, Ducati 1098 tail with custom subframe, modified gas tank, lithium iron phosphate battery(1.5lbs!) and a custom undertail exhaust.

I have a minty 4-1 Micron system for this bike that will be for sale, as soon as I get the collector copied in stainless. I'll keep ya posted!

Penetrating oil, such as mouse milk (dont laugh it is real and it works) and heat. Take a propane torch to the nut or surrounding area while putting a heat sink on the bolt head. The heat will slightly enlarge the nut while the heat sink keeps the bolt cooler so it does not expand as well. DO NOT USE MAP GAS ON ALUMINUM FOR A LONG TIME OR IN CLOSE CONTACT AS YOU WILL MELT IT!

i like the 05 gixxer rear cowl look. but!! i have a idea that might get me yelled at, but i want to swap a 98 VFR 800 engine into this frame i havent seen it done yet anyway but i want to go wild on this bike like you seb but keep its root true to the V-4 interceptor, what's yall's ideas??

I will have to try this and the heat method as the bolt on my header / down pipe appears to be rusted into one solid piece. Joyful.

Took me a minute to notice the tie down straps hanging from the ceiling to end that "HUH?!?!" moment lol.
