So I bought my RC36 last year and have had throttle issues ... the throttle is sticking at times. I checked the carb linkages, cables , throttle tube, switch. All good. But I believe it's a handlebar issue. The pic shows my bars and they are not stock. I think the are taller tan stocj causing the cables to be tight.

Does anyone know if I can get slightly longer cables and is there a part number or what bike they come from?
If not I will have to find a set of stock bars ...

Thanks...

Hi all:
I have a 1991 VFR 750 that I don't ride often enough and I guess gas gums up the carburetors and it won't hold idle. I've taken them out and cleaned them and gotten the bike running fine 3-4 times over the years. This time, it starts and idles fine, but doesn't seem to have any power. I can't let the clutch all the way out before it dies, even though holding it at about 4000 RPM. So is this a problem with the carbs sitting too long also? Should I try cleaning them out again?...

A 1994 VFR 750 with 71.000 miles on the clock for 700€

My question to you guys is:
Will I be able to sell it for the same amount if it turns out to be way harder to handle than I expect it to?
Considering the mileage on it etc.
I still haven't seen it yet but the owner says he bought it a few months ago...
I own a vfr750 from '92 for which I have recently done some maintance work and it now has a single pop, backfire, when I engage the throttle slightly after a decell. It especially happens in the higher rpm-range. This is a new 'feature' after the maintenance work I've done. The state of the machine before the work was fine, allthough therw where some vibrations in the higher rpm-range. I suspected this...
Plans:
New coolant hoses, seal the headers (no exhaust sealant used when the previous owner mounted them), new air filter, after market gear selection indicator, and new bodywork. Wait what, new bodywork? Hehehe
Need some more parts, but should be fun.

Hi all, some of you saw my wanted thread. I am starting a thread here as I successful found an original survivor RC36-2 that has been motionless for what seems like well over a decade. Overall in great stock shape, a few minor issues and marks externally (30 year old bike) but a great project and starting platform for me. Bike is a 95, build date 11/94, with 2 owners and 12k miles.

I have already started stripping her down and plan to do a good replacement of all fluids, clean carbs,...
