So I'm bored and looking for something to tinker with and seeing as I like removing "redundant" things I'm considering removing the PAIR system and would like to go the block off plate route, but $80+ seems ridiculous.

I don't suppose anyone has the dimensions of these plates? I'm sure I can get a shop to cut me some for less than $80. I know I can probably take off the current fittings to get the measurements but as I don't have a garage, I don't really want the VFR to be standing...
I thought I could find the rear carrier somewhere on planet earth and was sorely. I have ordered it three times from suppliers that turned out not to actually have their hands on it. I'm waiting for a 4th and 5th supplier...

Its been a while since I was here but thought to share my experience with you all. I have since sold off my VFR800 and was one of the firt with the VFR1200FDD.

So the story starts on Sunday 03.03

So...there I was....on my return trip from a Biker Event about 1000km from home.

About 200km to go I start feeling a very very slight vibration through my handle bars.

I stop my music and start paying some more attention to what's happening to the bike. I listen but can't really...
