      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So, I&#039;ve has my eye on a VFR1200X for a while, Planning on doing the NW500 in July, the old girl (VFR800Fi) is just to small for my 6,4 self. So doing E-bay, autotrader, searches, come across a few 2020 DCT models I like, got the images and videos sent across from the dealers selling the bike. On all the images, videos, the nuts on and around brake callipers, mud-guards, under drive shaft, all seem to suffer from a lot of rust/corrosion. Is this a common theme on these bikes? My VFR800 2001...<br />

      <title>Hard to start after laying up</title>

Purchased a Cross Tourer - ex demo, and drove it every day (winter and summer) for 8 months, then had it serviced by a Honda dealer and garaged it for 2 and a half years.<br />
Decided to start it up and found that it would not start easily, and would stick at 2-4,000 revs sometimes, other times would not start, but had an engine warning light. <br />

Found this on the Euro news blog. The guy is trying to make it in the Guinness Book. He left Lisbon, Portugal on August1 and going on 15K km trip all the way across Russia. You can track his progress on the link above (map), looks like he just passed Moscow. The guy is riding a demo bike from Estonia. He had to stop in Lithuania...<br />
