Currently riding a 2019 Himalayan for local riding on our bumpy back roads and dirt roads.<br />

Haven&#039;t had a sporty  road bike for some years, I did own a 1989 VFR 750 back in 1991 for a couple of years also a VF 500 and a VF 750, so plenty of V4 experience, albeit decades ago.<br />
<br />
My main concern is with tyre wear and the dreaded valve clearances (something that never concerned me years ago).<br />

In August my 8th Gen was written off thanks to my insurance company deciding it was cheaper to write it off than fix it. <br />
I was waiting in the queue for a toll station when the truck in front of me just reversed into my motorbike and crushed the whole front end.   After months of seaching it is very clear that finding a similar spec RC97 VFR with full factory luggage is like hunting for a unicorn, so for now my Street Triple 765...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My new(-ish) to me 06 VFR800a abs, got it back in April with just under 16k Miles on it, and am quite enjoying the bike so far.<br />
Got it with the Delkevic slip on and adjustable red levers and Corbin seat already on it and have since added some tank pads, and swapped the bars, spacers and upper triple from a 2014 for added bar height and (to me) better looks, all for cheaper than Helibars.<br />
now just need to hunt down a PC V or a rapid race module, haha.<br />

My name&#039;s Rich and I recently picked up a 2008 VFR800 Vtec.<br />
<br />
It was my friends bike for many years but he&#039;s given up riding having not ridden it for a couple of years now, so I took it off his hands. It was in a sad state (and is still in some areas) but I plan to make it a nice looking bike again.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[A lot has happened since I was a member on any VFR forum. I got divorced. I went back to college and graduated. I found more lucrative employment. I re-married.<br />

Now I am back riding a 2008 VFR 800. It was new old stock when I bought it in July of 2010. It was still in the crate. I flew to the city where the dealer was on a one way flight. After all the paperwork and money changing hands I rode my new bike 270 miles back home. I didn&#039;t consider how the hot weather would be in late July....<br />

I bought an RC79 this weekend, my first VFR. Just under 20000km, nice condition except for bad brakes. Warped disc makes the whole front shake when braking at speed. Quite annoying. Besides that, love the bike. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hello all. I&#039;ve fancied a v4 for a while and spotted an obscenely cheap RC46 on marketplace. It had been owned by an idiot and I found more stripped threads in the first few minutes than I&#039;ve ever seen on one bike. But the engine started up and runs well, the gearbox was beautiful and I couldn&#039;t say no - I&#039;ve spent more on a pair of tyres.<br />
<br />
Plan to completely strip it, make sure I haven&#039;t missed any major flaw which makes other plans redundant. Replace all the wheel, swingarm, linkage...<br />

Started riding in 1976. Have ridden to all lower 48 states and most Canadian Provinces. Lived in the UK and had a 91 VFR. In Italy had an 86 VMax loaner. Currently have an 83 VF750F, 85 VF1100S, 2 VF1000R&#039;s, 86 VFR750, 90 VFR, 97VFR, and a 2001VFR, plus a couple of non V4&#039;s.<br />
I&#039;m on a First Gen V4 board and another VFR board. Ended up here as a member was selling some 5th Gen parts. Super nice guy, so I&#039;ll hang around.]]></content:encoded>

New to the forum but not to the VFR 800 Vtec!<br />
Bought mine (2006 model) a few yeard ago from a friend because of extensive oil consumption. Took out the original engine and replaced with a spare one. Original is benched untill I find the time to overhaull it completely. So for now riding a little Frankenstein VFR and loving it all the time.<br />

I have my 3rd VF now after a long time without one.<br />
<br />
Had a VF750F from new when it was released in the UK.<br />
Did a mod on the engine to stop the CAM wear issue.<br />
Sold that and then purchased another in late 1980&#039;s<br />
<br />
Had a Fireblade 954 for several years.<br />
<br />
After about about 10 years without a bike, back on a VFR800Fi 1998, and love the V4 motor.<br />
<br />
Have had a few other brands but you cant beat Honda for build quality and reliability.]]></content:encoded>

Early fall of this year I acquired a 2003 VFR800 ABS with ~11 000 km (~7000 miles) on the clock. I hadn&#039;t understood the motor at first while test riding the bike, as recently I had had experience only with off-road thumpers and inline 4s, but a bit later it grew on me a lot and now I just love riding it. Also, I find the stock suspension is decent bordering on good .  Initially I wanted to buy an ST1300,...<br />
