1991 VFR 750 Float and other questions.

I came across a 1991 VFR 2 months ago. An 18 yr old with zero experience pays 8400.00 for it as his first bike. I have receipts showing he had $1900.00 of work performed the prior month, including "reman" carbs (I have my doubts), new front and rear tires absolutely new.

First ride, 20 feet out of his driveway he lays it on his side. A little bit of scuffing on the left side, mid fairing smashed. Yet, beautiful bike. I gave him the $800.00 even though I couldn't hear it run.

NC Riders: Do You Ever Split Lanes?

I'm likely transferring from the west coast to the triangle area and use my bike mostly for transportation as well as recreation. California is the only state that I'm aware of where you can legally split lanes as long as you're being reasonable.

I understand that it is not legal in North Carolina, however in the peak traffic times I'm sure that traffic does get gridlocked (especially in Charlotte and RDU) and I'm wondering if perhaps the police may look the other way or give motorcycles...

Hey guys. I thought I would post this thread so that for any of us in the great state of Virginia could post up if they happened to see a VFR in their local areas to help locate one another for future rides, meet-and-greets, memberships, etc. So if you guys saw a VFR and don't know who it was, post up the bike & rider information and maybe someone on here will know who it was or if it was them.

So let me start this off by saying I had a 2003 and newer Silver VFR 800 with 30 day tags on it...

I'm proud to say that I just took delivery of my very first Honda bike (although not quite my first bike overall)! It's a 2006 VFR800A that I recently purchased from my brother. I know it has been WELL taken care of, and it has less than 3,000 miles on it.

Although I was born and raised in the Northeast, I lived in the CFL area (Avalon Park in Orlando, FL) for more than the past decade. While a great job opportunity has recently taken me back to the NE, my heart lies...

Hey everyone. There is a new Ace Cafe that has opened in Orlando a few months ago. The place is very cool, has lots of custom and vintage bikes on display, and has events daily. They have a bike night, and do special events if a group contacts them. It would be pretty cool to have a VFR night if people were interested, or even just meet other VFR owners on bike night. I encourage anyone in the are to check it out regardless. I will try to post some pics of the bike night I went to there.

Hilbily & myself have scheduled an impromptu Sunday afternoon ride around the loop from Orange, VA, to Shenandoah, VA & back on Sunday, May 18, 2014. So the engine finally gave up the ghost and I'd rather just part out everything since I got my eye on a newer bike.
