well, it's time to join this post...
as I can see, many vfr owners like some italian bikes (Guzzi, Aprilia and the incredible Ducati) what about a Benelli ? Did you see the new Tornado Benelli ? I stiil have my old Benelli (250 2c and 654 sport) and I'd like to buy a Tornado. But my VFR 750 has always its honour place in my heart (and in my garage).
Lamps to all VFR owners (it' s wonderful to dream bikes)....

The motors very cool though UK BiKE magazine listed the Morbidelli V8 in their top 10 motorcycle turkey list few years ago, can't think why.

    1089R - Who wouldn't
08 Busa - looks even better in person
KTM 690 SMC(?) - Everyone should have a motard.

    John:

I've come close a couple times spending the money on a 78 KZ1000 and using Airtech's fairings.

I could make a nice Bubba or Toecutter replica.

    Maybe in the future.

On my Shopping list is a Duc 848, Buell 1125R (with the french Co's swing arm & chain conversion kit), & mostly, I'd like to build my ultimate Big DualSport for adventure touring with a RC51 motor, 10" travel front & back dirt/asphalt tearing up machine.

    Ah, to dream...
    For starters, I'd like:

1988 GSXR 750 in red and white (one of the best looking bikes ever IMHO)
    1982 Katana 1000
    1983 RZ350

The dangerous part about this list is that these are relativley inexpensive and available bikes, If I ever come across them in good condition and at a fair price, I'm gonna run out of garage space.
I'm sure we all have bikes we lusted after in our youth... wait, maybe that's another thread :)

1990 Honda CBR600 - I'd want another of my first bike.
2008 Honda CBR600 - For those short twisty days.
2008 Honda VFR800 - Customed for touring (hardbags, seat, GPS, etc.)
1952 Vincent Blacklightning - If you're going to have a vintage, go for one of the best.
    2008 Ducati 1098 - So so pretty.
2008 H-D Night Train FXSTB - Yeah, I'd own a Harley. For cruising with some of my H-D friends/family.

There are so many more I'd want. If I was rich I'd have more motorcycles than I knew what to do with.

Sat on a Guzzi Griso at the dealership today - wow, nice bike! Will have to add it to my list! The Breva 1200 sport was also nice. As were the Bimotos they had there - uber expensive, but nice bikes!

I may as well do a first post somewhere and here is as good as any. Looks like a few here are thinking of the dark side and dreaming of a Ducati. I did that - bought a 1993 900SS. Only thing was that the rego for my 1984 VF1000R had to go as the costs were too high.

Before I bought the Ducati I was thinking of an RC30. Even found one that may have been for sale but didn't go through with it.

But the one I would probably hunt down is my old 83 VF750F. Bought new and was the first shipment into Australia. When to Bathurst for the Easter racing and the only others there were out of the track winning.

I still start the VF every now and then but what they say about Ducati is all true.
