Sorry to hear that. THey do suk though don't they. In a few more weeks all the plants will stop mating and we'll be able to breath again and get out on these bikes.

I'm a long way from VA at the moment but in September we are coming over to the USA, firstly to go to the MotoGP at Indy, then we are hiring a BMW1200GS for 10 days from Richmond. Hope to do the Skyline Drive and the Parkway. It would be great if we could meet up with some of you.
Are there any restrictions to using dark visors in VA, or anything else I should know.

    Thanks

Not sure about VA, but in MD you are not supposed to use dark visors at night.
I keep my dark visor at all times and haven't had any problems with the law.

I am in VA and you just can't ride at night. I use a iridium tinted visor. Without it you'd go blind.

    Sunday 6/22

Anybody want to ride Sunday 6/22? I want to head to the mountains below Charlottesville and possibly to Lynchburg. I get off work in Manassas at 6am. Meet up around 7am in the Stafford area at Starbucks in Garrisonville and head south. Should be around 400 miles, and that's what VFRs are made for. No major roads once we get south of Fredericksburg, all fun back roads.
    You in Bitterpil? VANTCPTR?
We will never be far from major roads like 29 and I64 so if you can't do the whole thing and have to break off or are worried about finding your way back, it shouldn't be a problem.
Let me know if you can go. Oh and since we will be meeting people along the way, it will be very important for everyone to be on time. I know I'm guilty of making people wait, but with a long day we gotta get on the road. So don't party too hard the night before.

CRAP! I guess we all are never gonna get out. I was planning on going this Sunday but Now I have an event for work. You know the kind.... Voluntary but manditory

So now I can't go either.

If it is this hard to get together to ride on a Sunday, imagine how hard it is going to be to get a large group to have a East Coast Meet.

Great ride today. We covered a lot of ground and saw some great scenery. I can't believe we only got lost once ha! That's gonna be one of my favorite routes now. We should go some time when we can stop and swim in the river and get some seafood. And put some knees on the ground on that one stretch...

FrankoQ- You should have come. We went to Colonial Beach, Tappahannock, and Bowling Green so we were right along 301 the whole time.

We need to get some pics too. 3 VFRs together is a beautiful sight.

It was a great ride. I agree. We need to map out Breakfast / R&R (maybe a beach along the bay)/ Lunch and a route home. All in all it was a fun time. Thanks for having me along.

    Too bad I missed it.
Always good to see pics of a VFR group ride.
I just realized I only have this saturday for a ride.
Then, I have busy weekends until mid July.

he was a good sport and tried many times. getting closer, but he's a big boy.

    7/26

Saturday 7/26? Anybody interested? I have no idea what or where the destination will be, but I'm planning on riding all day.
Perhaps we can meet Nozzle at Tim's II for Aquapalooza if he's out on the drag boat in the evening.

Guess its just me then. I'm taking the RC. There will also be a 929 and a Superhawk, sure would be nice to have a VFR in the mix.

I'll be watching this thread. I'm new to riding, but I've got an '86 and a brand new '07. I'm in Norfolk and itching to get away from flat land free of curves.
