I've been reading a lot of the posts here on VFR World for several months, and they have been very helpful and informative. I am purchasing my first Honda Interceptor this weekend - a new 2007 Candy Dark Red. I can't wait till Saturday morning gets here so that I can go pick up that bad-boy! No more cabin fever!!! I am ready to ride!!!
Man that really must be frustrating working all week, just waiting for that beautiful bike! Welcome to the site!
It sure is frustrating. I installed a wheel chock in my trailer this afternoon. Then tomorrow morning, I'm going to finish up by installing eye-bolts so that I will be able to secure the rear end of the bike during transport.
Welcome aboard. The anticipation can be a nuisance. The great part is that it'll take you a long, long while to get the grin off your face. You may have pics of the bike on your wall, as your desktop wallpaper, and as your call phone wallpaper. Be sure to share your excitement with us, along with pics if you can. Some of us (ie. me) have to say goodbye to our bikes for the next few months. We will like to be able to live through you lucky folks livng in the temperate regions. Man, I miss Tejas. Congrats in advance.
Thanks Julien! You are correct; a picture of the bike is on my desktop as well as the wallpaper on my cell phone. I will certainly be sure to take pics and get them on VFR World. I hope it doesn't get crazy-cold down here this winter, cuz we get a hard winter down here about every 10 years or so, and we are due for one.
Hello and welcome. Congrats on your soon-to-be new viffer! Treat her well, and she will return the favor! :vtr2:
Welcome to the site. You're gonna love that new viffer. Here's a famous "anticipation" commerical to help with your wait....http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu78MX.../**http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3AEKz4FqWA
Welcome to VFRWorld. You chose a great machine. Ditto on what stucka said. VFR's are like the Starship Enterprise...take care of her, and she'll always bring ya home.
Count me in...WELCOME and nice machine (I have the exact same year and color VFR). I did the same thing you did...the desktop image motivated me to make it "happen" and it is still there greeting me every morning. The waiting part is a drag but then...the big day comes. Now be prepared for all the waiting and BS they'll put you through when filling out all of the papers. And be sure that they give you everything...the tool kit, manua, seat cowl, etc. Be sure you get a pic on the first day! ENJOY THE NEW VFR!
Y2KViffer, Yes sir, that's how it's all going right now. My wife is trying to stall me a little, but it's not working out too well in her favor. The check will be written tomorrow morning and the bike will be loaded in my trailer shortly thereafter.
@ The dealership, before taking delivery... Next, loaded on my trailer, headed on its way home with me... @ Home in the garage...
