    Any Sydney or Canberra VFRWorlders,

Some OzVFRers are doing a Ride from Goulburn to Oberon this Saturday the 3rd Jan Starting from Loftus Oval at 08:00am sharp for Slab to Picton turnoff > Hume to Goulburn to Mobil meeting point at Goulburn around 10:00am.

Mobil Service station is in Goulburn between Wheatly Ave & Union St on the Old Hume Hwy, where those from Sydney will be meeting up with CaVeR's. Due to Double Fly bys this ride will be just a gentle cruise and get together. Lunch would most likely be at the Historic O'Connell Pub which was opened in 1865 and offers fine food in charming surroundings.

See below for Route Link and and Mobil Station Google Map co-ordinates

Slight change, to lessen the Slab to Goulburn and enable a run up Mac Pass we'll still kick off at 08:00am at Loftus oval then head straight down the Old Princess HWY for a run up Mac Pass to Robertson then to Exter before the short slab down the Hume to Goulburn to meet up with CaVeRs at approx 10:40.

Good to see you are coming, the simplest way would be to meet up with the Canberra guys at the Goulburn Mobil between Wheatly Ave & Union St at 10:40 or pm me directly for my mobile and we could co-ordinate picking you up along the way on top of the Mount Ousley parking bay at approx 08:30.

Not a bad turn out for an add hock ride, 11 VFR's, 1 VF & 2 others, who would have thought there would be so many folks needing motorcycling therapy after the Festive season.

Very nice John! Great turn out! Love to see more pics when you get a chance. Looks like one feller on a 5th gen is packing a sheep (his seat).

You'll find a few VFRs around with dead sheep, I have a half one for big rides but forgot to put it on yesterday.

As we covered a lot of mostly back country miles ( 426 miles ) with a times very iffy road surfaces and some nice mountain range twisties  forgot to take photos  and hope others have, of some interest my VFR having 100% stock suspension often felt the odd one out.

It was a supprising turnout, being in the Festive time and what is known as a Double Demerits period where the Government double the speeding penaltys we only expected 4 or 5 but were blown away with 14...

Below is one sent to me at the Servo just after I'd topped up my Gas at the Goulburn Sydney / Canberra meet up location....

Also Canberra based OzVFR AB-Oz posted a Ride report on VFRD if you want to have a peek over there, see the Pot hole snap which may give a indication of the average road surface, lucky for us VFRs thrive on the kinds of roads that have crotch rockets wilting.

when we were there we drove from Sydney to Melbourn to in between Canberra and Melbourne and spent a week doing our Medieval thing,, I remember the folks we were with drove slow cause of the cameras and the potholes. its funny that australia is where I first say the MC Cafe, anyway looks like it was a blast
