There is one thing worse than grandma lusting after Laurence; Gramps wanting to do a number with the Lusty Lennon Sisters. This may be why I like bikes so much.

Have you heard the original Yardbirds song, you can see where Led Zep gets it roots but ahve to admit the Led Zep Live version the best.

Wonder why no-one's mentioned the classically Cool Procal Harum "Whiter Shade of Pale " or the Moody Blues " Knights in White Satin " dam back in the '60's songs again, evem though to young myself at the time perhaps I'm the Lone Ranger here thinking it the coolest decade for Music, someone, anyone ? .

    Neat thread!

I really can't pick a single favorite, but my 'riding' playlist on my iPod looks like this..

    Ace of Spades - Motorhead
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
Broken, Beat & Scarred - Metallica
Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
    Bicycle Race - Queen
    Foreplay Long Time - Boston
    Godzilla - B.O.C.
Hold on Loosely - .38 Special
    I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide - ZZ Top
    La Grange - ZZ
    Panama - Van Halen
Rock You Like a Hurricane - Scorpions
Sweet Child 'O Mine - Guns n' Roses
    Turn the Page - Metallica

...and Drewl, Tribute is not the greatest song in the world, it's just a tribute

Rolling Stone may be anti-Canadian. IMO, we should follow up on this. I am beaming up as we speak.

Could well be, after scouring the list couldn't even find their National Treasure Celine Dion in the top 500.

Probably my vote would go to" Two out of three aint bad" Meatloaf. Anyway I guess we could all fill up pages about music,as silly at it seems music is something most of us need.
Ok ,a few weeks ago while driving north on ROUTE 81, I was listening to this radio show about what was the most popular song ever written in the U.S. From what I could tell there
were some heavy hitters from the music industry on the show. After their discussions they felt the best song ever written was "Somewhere over the Rainbow" from the Wizzard of Oz. That song is not my choice, but after I began to think about it,I dont believe they are that far off. eddie
