OK, Im a proud owner of the RWB VFR800A with the VTECH engine and linked brakes, and the abs and all the other things your complaining about.
The VTECH engine is lighter than others that make the same power for displacement, has more torque (though not by much) and remember it is a V4 not a I4 so its narrower, the brakes have saved my hide from endo'ing over the bars already (200kmph to 0 in 3 seconds with out skidding) the 60lbs can be removed with a smaller (not optional from honda) tank and a lighter rider. the exhaust is perfect(unless you hate the tune it plays) so leave it where it is, and as for the looks..... well not all partial to them mysefl but i cant complain to much as the wind doesnt bother me much (unlike the 600s and litter bikes) as for weight, its not bad as i can easily push it (cant ride out of the shed as the mud will cause problems) but its not light like a 600. so in short dont knock the bike untill you own and have riden the first 1000kms(600miles)

I personally don't knock the current Veefer - never ridden one, and probably never will. Not for lack of wanting - just don't expect to have the opportunity. My beef is not with the latest version, it is with Honda's continued lack of attention to this platform, and to it's market. I just finished reading the latest write-up on the about the new Fury chopper. A freakin chooper! And not word one from anywhere in HMC as to plans for the Veefer. Just pisses me off. You would think that Honda would have someone actually contribute to our forum - where else would you find this kind of free market research.

Oh, I betcha Honda has someone they pay to read all the comments on here and all the other related sites as well, they're just not making a move yet until they can nail it down 100%. Or that could just be wishful thinking..............

Local Honda dealer sold a new 07 RWB the other day for just over 8 grand. It had a factory rebate and some other incentives. Nice buy.
I was going to try and wait them out 2 more years and maybe get it for around 6000. Oh well....

    VFR RWB - traffic stopper.

Bought a blue and white when the Intercetor made it's first debut. I moved taking my blue and white to the land of the red and whites so it did stand out. Regarding the 55 mph age - I was there and remember it. 55 mph made for long trips home from SC to Va. Boy that seat was firm!

Regarding turning heads. I bought mine this June. I have had people ask me about the bike at stop lights. One guy leaned over and took a picture. Yes the bike defintely gets attention.

I went in to look at a 650 cc dirt bike and saw the anniversary RWB on the floor. Needless to say which I bought. No regrets - especially in the turns.
