I'm thinking of making up some of those stickers that say. "HI My name is (your motorcycle's name) and I'm a Honda VFR. These will be for sale. Please try to keep it clean and extra words like, "My owner has a big schlong", will be an extra charge.

They will be a big hit at bike night and pretty soon everyone will want one. Even the girls.

My previous bike was a 2003 red honda shadow. Her name was Ruby. My new 2007 VFR is appropriately named Ruby Tuesday. As in the second red bike, and she was bought on a tuesday. And yes I talk to her. I tell her how good she is doing, and sometimes thank her for he nice ride!

P.S. I mispelled the new name. It should be Ruby Twosday.

Re: "Come On Icecream", The only thing that came to mind was "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners. Have no idea why that popped into my head. That happens a lot.

Now, back on topic. I haven't really named my bike, but I guess "oh sh*t!" or "oh f*ck!" would be appropriate, cause that's what I say when something bad happens while riding (e.g., cage pulls out in front of me, I see a pile of gravel in the middle of a corner, I almost get ass-ended at a stop light, etc.).

Those are good names. Said them many times myself in those situations. Just had one the other day. I went to pass a car. And as I was giving it the nuts, my front wheel came up as I was changing lanes to make the pass. I've never been in a turn in a wheelie. All I could see was disaster, but luckily I pulled out of it O.K.

Never thought of naming a bike, but maybe "cranky old bastard" or just "ugly" would do, because it had a hard life before I got it. Been riding around without a fairing lately, a touch of class.

I think I've finally decided; Kara Zor-El, who is the cousin of Kal-El. Right colors and perspective.

Oooh this is a fun thread! And I'll totally buy one of those stickers. Don't have a shlong of to brag about. My boobs are pretty nice though.

Car - Jane. She's a 2003 Hyundai Elantra Hatchback, which is probably the 5th ugliest car ever, but I love her dearly and she's a wonderful beastie. She kinda looks like a spaceship but Enterprise was a bit too lofty, and when I went to get her keys and sign the ownership Voyageur was playing and Janeway was going on a monologue... Plus she looks kinda plain. Plain Jane.

Bike - Moro. As in the 500 year old wolf goddess from Princess Mononoke, which is one kickarse anime movie in case you don't know. If she gave me a male vibe she totally would have been some spin off Optimus Prime cuz she's RWB, but...

    I think I just out-nerded you all.

I talk to my my beasts all the time. Heck I talk to many inanimate objects. Don't you know that sweet talking to machines is the only way to get a cranky one to start and work? "Come on baby, come on just start for me. You know you want to!" When I'm driving I tell other vehicles that look like they're about to pull out in front of me to "STAY" all the time. It works, try it.
