I'm not sure you totally outnerded me Millie, as I stated earlier in the thread, my bike is named Chihiro, which means "thousand gains" and as I'm SURE you know, is from the anime film Spirited Away. (Oscar and Academy award winning awesome film!)
I thought it was a good female name for a Japanese bike...

FANTASTIC MOVIE  did you see Ponyo? My cousins did and they loved it, but I haven't had a chance yet...

Nerding it up even more than me, my friends named their DAUGHTER Inara after the character from Firefly. Not sure naming a kid after a companion is the nicest thing to do, but it's a lovely name...

A former coworker of mine calls everyone "Jimmy", including his children. The funniest reaction he got was a confused reply from his 4 year old son "No, Daddy, I'm ROWAN". Poor kid probably thinks his dad is mental.

Funny thread. I named some of my other vehicles when I was waaay younger (1957 Volvo was "Black Beauty", 1988 Triumph Bonneville was "Trumpet", 1965 Impala wagon was "The Red Sled") but I haven't named my VFR - yet. Maybe "Money Pit" for all the $$$ mods?

I may end up calling my VFR "the red bear," largely because Mrs is REALLY opposed to me calling it Naomi. Or Jessica. Or Kate. Or Angela, or Pamela, or any other "girl name."

Quoth Mrs: "I don't want you talking about riding some other girl!!"

My VFR's name is pretty obvious: "The Hornet" bein' the 2nd bike I got, it had a lil more time and effort into paint

My old KZ550 GPZ was "The Wasp"... it was black and yellow, and had goofy exhaust that sounded like buzzing

My 1972 Duster (God rest her) was named "Ganelle" (cuz her license plate was 306 GNL)...

Ok, you win the "best name" award...

    From the movie dialogue:
    -"Hi, I'm Cherry."

    -"yes, you are"
