Hey.....new member to board with a recently purchased VF500. Picked it up for $50.00. It has basically everyting except airbox....battery box....carbuator flange to mount to airbox.....exhaust collector. Included spare motor and all plastics. I have stripped it down to frame and gonna start sanding and painting. Should i go back stock or do a 17" wheel conversion?
This is my first project so its gonna be alot time and thought.

    Welcome!

Have you started it yet and made sure the famous VF500 Valve destruction hasn't happened or is about to occur?

Haven't tore into motor yet......just finished pulling motor...and stripped frame of everything. I guess they must bad for valve failure. Prior owner had it running before he started tearing it apart. Guess I will hope for the best when I start.
