At great risk I thought I would post up a pic of a Hypermotard that I've been putting together. In about a week it will have a VFR parked beside it, but for now it looks pretty sweet in the garage. There is quite a story behind it but I'll spare you the details and before you comment on the chicken strips, let me say that this bike only has six miles on the clock and I didn't put them there. This is just for fun! Everyone likes pictures right!

Gloss Black would look sweet too. Just askin' cuz the Silver looks a bit out of place. The Marchesini rims,Brembo clutch master,and Pazzo shorty levers are sweet. Any C/F rock guards available for those front forks?

Well it goes like this, Some dumb ass bough this lovely hypermotard for the paltry sum of $15,000 plus Canadian dollars plus 13% tax of course. Proceeded to take his new pride and joy off the showroom floor and headed home. At the six mile mark (9 kms in Canada) the silly bugger low sides the bike. The bike slides on the left side till it came to an abrupt halt, bending the rear wheel, the rear sub frame and the front axle. The usual cosmetic stuff was trashed as well as the handlebars broke and the exhaust was a mess. And so it was that the bike was basically written off about six minutes after it left the shop. We picked it up and replaced all the damaged parts with new or nice used stuff till I arrived at what you see here. I still need to install a Ducati Performance carrier and the tail light to call it complete but they are sitting at the dealer waiting for me to pick up. The nearest Ducati dealer is a four hour drive from here so I'm planning on picking them up with my new Viffer on the way home from Dallas. I should correct that last statement. There is a closer dealer in Montreal but I chose to deal in Ontario as they had some of the parts I needed and gave me a deal. The actual owner is a buddy of mine, I'm just the wrench and parts locator on the project so future mods will be his call. I would probably do some paint work myself to tie in the sub frame but who knows what he will do. I already told him that after a week on the Hyper and one ride on my VFR he will have it on the auction block. Nothing like a little smack talk between friends eh! It is a cool bike but I just want to pull wheelies when I get on it and I don't think it will be much fun on the highway after the first few miles.
