you will also need some sort of 90 degree screwdriver unit to adjust the carbs. I am in the process of looking for a cheap solution.

Here's a photo of the OEM tool (part number 07908-KE70000) for reference:

There were several people on another forum that tried it out and said that it worked like a charm. No negative comments. I will let you know. First I need to find 5mm adapters and a screwdriver tool!

Just break down and buy the motion pro screwdriver, it is about $29.
Sometimes you are just better off breaking down and buying the right tool for the job guys.

the adjusters are hex head and a 1/4 drive socket set worked for me. No walk in the park but got the job done.

+1 on using the right tool, though IMO, I would say order up and go for the OEM tool, these run about $40.

I have a stubby 1/4 drive hex set. It will accept hex screw driver bits, along with a short extension and then I can attach 1/4 sockets. Trying to find a link on Snap-on but not having any luck. I've had the set for years and find it extreamly handy on a variety of applications. I originally purchased it when doing industrial machinery repair and needing to get into tight places. If you see the snap-on truck going down the road and need something, don't be afraid to follow him into a parking lot. He'll be happy to sell you a tool. The Snap-on truck is like the ice cream man for adult males. I don't know why they don't pump out loud music (maybe porno style) while going down the road.

How is that Motion Pro tool on the VF models? I wasn't sure it would work and was comparing that to the more expensive bevel drive unit.

I tried that first, too much trouble and fiddling, the 90 degree tool was waaaaayy easier.

The first one, the second should work but it is more expensive unless you have money to blow.

That is SO true about the tool trucks! Seeing that I repair cars for a living, I get WAY too many tools from them.

I didn't care for it. I ended up using a really short stubby, or just a screwdriver bit, I think. It was last fall that I messed with it last.

I bought a Morgan Carb Tune shipped to my door last week for about 100$ think I think it was worth it. I have a Mercury one like that in the workshop somewhere, I dont like using it. always afraid its going to spill and the dogs will get into it.
