Hi All, Would anyone happen to have a few detail photos of an '86 set of 49 State VF500F Keihin carburetors (VD31A series) showing the two fuel line connections? Many thanks!
The best I have seen here are Slowbirds photos on how he added inline filters. Here: http://vfrworld.com/forums/1st-2nd-generation-1983-1989/31018-fuel-filter-86-vf500.html
The lines basically go from there to the plastic fuel passage tubes between the carbs. The tubes have t-joints to accept the hose where the 84-85 is just a straight tube between carbs. So unlike the 84-85 carbs where the fuel enters at the end of the carb bank the fuel in the 86 enters in a more distributed fashion. Easy to theorize why they made the change, but was there really a problem of the farthest carb on the 84-85's being slightly starved? Who knows...
