Got a 99 s10 4cylinder with a 5 speed. Little rusty and can't get out of its own way, but it lets me haul all my stuff and the bike to school and back.

Bought this '03 C240 on a fluke last year when looking for something else. It only had 41,000mi. on it and is fun to drive.

Also have an '02 Trailblazer but not too exciting.

the odometer shit'd out at 135k a while ago. id say shes got the better half of a million miles on her by now.
ive flushed the tranny out 2wice that i know of, changed the oil every 3 months, changed out every power window a few times, the rear main seal, but no major failors yet... (knock on wood)lol
she seems to be pretty happy at the moment. i had a check engine light that almost drove me crazy... turned out to be the egr pressure differential sensor. aparently this is pretty common on older fords.

I've got an 04 s2000, in "Rio yellow" and a 96 prelude si for winter duty. The ludes got almost 300k miles on her, and still runs like a top. Never had to do anything besides oil changes/brakes and other routine maint.

I swear I'm not a honda fan boy, its just the way it all turned out.

I'm also the miserable owner of a 92 mitsubishi eclipse GSX, can't keep the damn thing on the road for more then 2k miles at a time without something breaking/leaking/smoking/blowing up.

me - 04 Prius -- 110,000 miles, not a single repair (major or minor)
    wife - 06 Sienna -- 68,000 miles, not a single repair

for high mileage low cost, we had a 94 Camry that was still running great at 238,000 miles when we sold it in late 2001 or early 2002. Had only 3 repairs in its entire life with us, the first one was not until 180,000 miles when the driver's side window motor gave up, then at about 190,000 miles the passenger window motor gave up, then at about 210,000 miles a knock sensor went bad. That was it. Still ran like a top, I didn't do any excessive mait either, just oil change every 5,000 miles or so, full tune up service at 100,000 and 200,000 miles (coolant change, plug change, tranny fluid change). When people rode in the car, they couldn't beleive the mileage until they looked at the odo.

took a civic to 180,000 the only repairs it had were two clutches, that is it

In addition to these, we,(my wife) just bought a brand new 2010 Honda Civic Coupe. The blue one here is a 03 with about 49,000 km on it (31,000 miles+-) We gave it to our son. Now the old man has the oldest vehilce in the family. Does that sound right to you?

That sounds about right. My wife and I did without a car (except the company car) for a few years while the kids were in college and we were supporting their three cars (insurance, registrations, maintenance, repairs - they did buy their own gas on occasion). Now their vehicles are their responsibility. Except I'm still paying the insurance. I need to reevaluate that, along with paying for their cell phones with Internet access, and a few other odds and ends.

I have not owned a car in over ten years and have not driven a car in the last 3 - 4 years. The last car I owned was during the 90s and it was a Lincoln TownCar.

This is the first car I ever owned. I bought it when I was 19 back in 1973. Sold it in 1993 for $150.00 more than I paid for it after having racked on over 140.000 miles. Wished now that I had kept it. Sorry for the grainy pictures. Photographs were taken with a Kodak 110 instamatic with a cube flash,

Oh my fucking oath. I really am getting old.
