Due to the fact that my left knee is getting weaker and now the right one seems to be coming out in sympathy I may have to consider a lighter bike than my VFR1200 DCT. This was highlighted when I dropped the VFR whilst doing a tight turn in a car park whilst on a trip to Wales this week. One of the bikes I'm looking at is the Crossrunner as I still love my Vs. As the bike is basically a restyled VFR 800 V-Tec I was wonder ing if it & I would still be acceptable on this forum. If so which section should I post in?

Was it right or left turn that makes you drop it and change the bike? Just playing with you. You chaps across the pond riding on wrong side of the street anyway.
Welcome to the club. I think you can be a part of this forum even if you get yourself a moped, Man.
Bat what do I know, I am Russian after all.

Sorry to hear about the drop and the knees.

In my 3 or so years on this forum, I think I've learned that we're a pretty easy going group. Some might shun you for having a Crossrunner, but fuck 'em. Hell, we have folks here who don't even ride a VFR. Donald Branscom is a perfect example - he took a VF engine and turned it into a chopper. A chopper!!! LOL. But he's filled with knowledge, as well.

Personally, I'd be curious to hear your opinion about the Crossrunner, and would look forward to it.

I don't know where the proper area is to post, so maybe just stick with the General Items until a place is made for the Crossrunner?

Thanks guys. I had a short ride on the crossrunner last week but tomorrow I am taking one out for the day as I have some concerns about the foot rest position over a distance. i will report back here

If we allow Toecutter to hang out here, anything goes.

This is an interesting thread - perhaps it's time for VFRworld to create a Crossrunner specific forum.

I am a fan of the Crossrunner and would probably buy one if it was available here. Would love some direct feedback from other members so I say make a drink, grab a seat and make yourself comfortable. Welcome aboard!

    Yup, still a V4.
There have been a few members that have sold out completely and bought other makes altogether. We did give them hell for it, but no one has ever been shunned over it.

I will accept any rider as long as they aren't a tool.

The Crossrunner? "I'll take NO FREAKING WAY IN HELL!!! for $1000, Alex." The bike is nothing more than an attempt by Honda to save money by NOT actually designing something new.

No idea why someone would buy the crossdresser over a duc multistrada or BMW F800R

This may be a VFR forum, but it's nothing but 1's and 0's without the PEOPLE. Bikes come and go.

In other words, don't be one of those people that GO when their bike doesn't match.

I've been without my VFR for 2 years and everyone still puts up with me.

Unless of course you buy a harley, then you can show yourself out.

    I could not agree more

Its built from an excellent platform. That platform has not been enhanced enough in my opinion.

Same five spoke wheel from my Gen 5. Same engine covers.

    C'mon honda. Thrill me.

I do like the new styling but it blatantly obvious they are just re-styling the exact same bike.

That being said - Its a v4 and I think the value of this forum is not the bike people ride but our shared experience of bikes..

Whatever you ride its all good with me :)

I'm down with Micheal's choice to set up a new forum.

It was kinda awkward for my RWB to meet a crossover in the 6th gen garage... didn't know whether to use the side stand or the center stand. no biggie either way, just didn't know. So now the crossover has it's own room - cool. Feel free to visit all the forums, I still even ride with some folks that don't have 6th gens, but I'm converting folks one by one, right FrankoQ? NozzleIsYourFather?

Even if you got another motorcycle, as long as you and your wife/girlfriend don't use the chat to talk over folks every night, I'm good with Crossovers. Did I tell you, my one cousin had this operation....

    Pssst...
I'll let you in on a little secret. No one is actually checking on what bike you actually own, or even if you own a bike at all. If for some reason you want to hang out and read posts and don't own a bike at all, you could...
