Just purchased a 2007 Anniversary model. Two questions; first how many were produced in the RWB 2007 Anniversary edition?

And second why do some 2007 anniversary models have white painted wheels and some have black painted wheels?

    Thank you!

Black was stock. Lots of folks sought the white wheels because they look great. BTW-Congrats. Those RWB are awesome.

Im too lazy to search this forum, but I know a thread exists with your first question - how many, what number do you have, etc. etc.

Black wheels were stock. White looks fuckin sweet. Do eeeet.

Dunno but it's downright creepy the way those RWB 2007 Anniversary Edition bikes to this day still seem to keep popping up for sale brand new in the box. :noidea:

Starting to think that Honda prolly musta built one for every man, woman, and child on the whole freakin' planet! :hss:

Here's the thread that Pliskin is referring to. I started it almost 5 years ago now. If you've got some time on your hands, you can sift through it. You'll learn some stuff, but probably won't find the answer you're looking for.

I powdercoated my rims white at my first tire change. I was able to get both rims done for $100. That was 2 years ago and they still look perfect. Congratulations on your purchase and please post up some pictures.

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES! Obviously let me know if / when there are some planned rides, got this new bike and I am dieing to get it rolling with some fellow VFR riders. Joining a motorcycle gang has all ways been a goal of mine. I will post some pictures shortly.

Just FYI ... I bought my bike used from Port Washington Yamaha in WI. I had it shipped to the east coast. It has 1,700 miles. So almost new ... but not exactly new.

Congrats on the bike- you're gonna love it.

I think everyone who has white wheels used powder coat, not paint. I know mine are. Many of us feel that all of the black on the stock bike really sucked it down, so the wheels are the first mod for a lot of folks.

IIRC, there were far fewer solid color bikes in '07 than there were of the RWB. If you look in the 6th gen militia thread you won't see very many red, black, or white '07 bikes. Speaking of which, sign yourself up & post your sequence number (last 6 of the vin) in your sig line.

True. When I heard that the '07 was going retro with the RWB color scheme, I assumed it would be based on the '86 VFR750. I was disappointed when I saw the black rims, but I knew that it was an easy fix to get them the way I wanted them. I just lived with the black until my first tire change which for me, was a logical time to do it.

IIRC correctly, all of us are in the 90xxxx range. A few folks here were trying to calculate what the production run was by tracking these numbers. Mine is 900188, meaning it was the 188th bike made of the 07 production year. Yours would be the 953rd of the run. I forget who was tracking this, but there was some speculation that the Anniversary RWB bikes had an extended run- meaning they made them for longer than 1 production year, though they are all titled as 2007.

OK I need to chime in.

82ndgreasemonkey, I love the white seat and way you did the stripes on your bags.

I can't speak for everyone but I did paint my wheels. I wanted them pearl white to match the bike. Powder coat is just white, no pearl therefore it doesn't match. Then again I worked in a body shop as the head painter for several years, So the thought of powder coat was never really an option for me. I have painted the wheels on just about every bike I have owned.

Bought mine on Dec 23rd. Third owner of #00226 w/ under 1500 miles (when I bought it). Has almost 2k on it now - no real long rides yet. Love it! I will probably powder coat the wheels white too - the other bikes just look too good that way not to do it.

Is that Toecutter's old bike? If so, you couldn't have gotten a better looked after used bike

Nice bike. Is that the OEM luggage framework or aftermarket?
