I just very slowly parked the VFR on it's right side while turning to back into a space in the lot here at work. Just a quick run out for lunch (~1 mile each way), but still suited up with the aerostitch 1-piece. And I'm glad, since I went down with it. My right knee is sore (tweaked as the bike pinned my leg against the pavement for a moment).

I was turning hard right, hit the steering stop sooner than expected, and then down it went. I really need to sharpen my low-speed skills... :(

    No real damage, thankfully.

Oh Man that sucks. The VFR handles like a loaded cement mixer at slow speed in reverse.

My garage is on a gravel alley and the cars keep dragging sand and gravel into the garage. As I back the bike in my foot is always slipping on this loose crap. One of these days it's going to get me too!

Glad the damage isn't too bad!

Maggot, ummmm, a broom? - Just saying. :pop2:

But seriously, a little prevention may be worthwhile. :defence: Hate to see one of the cool machines in your stable a victim of a correctable condition.

Woody, glad the bike wasn't scratched or bent, and your pride and your knee were "just" bruised :hurt: (I know that feeling - :shower: :embarassed:) I dropped my kz once because I forgot to put the kickstand down at work. Swung my leg off, let go, and the bike just kinda hovered - realization dawned as it toppled . No one saw it :whoops:, and the only thing broken was the clutch lever (partially), to go along with my bruised pride.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I do own a broom but I just don't know how to operate it... Cars go in and out a few times a day, the bikes, I'm sorry to say, only once or twice a week. When it's time to ride, sweeping is my last priority!
