So since I'n currently down waiting for a new stator to arrive, I decided to put a little more effort into installing my voltage monitor. It was mounted near the battery and the wires ran all over the place and i didn't like it. So I pulled it out and removed the upper fairing so I could mount it behind the instrument cluster. After some experiments I ended up attaching it to the top of the bank angle sensor with double sided tape. I routed the wires for the LED around the cluster and installed the LED on the left side of the display so I could see it easily. Then I tied the sense wires into the harness for the headlights so I didn't have six feet of wire running back to the battery. It's all clean and tidy now.

    You mean this?

Note: Left fairing at round cutout provided by Mother Honda. Analog type from boat, waterproof. Wired to relay from power block. Reads right off battery.
