Billy! How come you didn't get all over him for using "each to their own" or do you favour me as being special? I like that Jersey law if they can prove it. Person on other end of phone should be giving the driver absolute shit, (later in person of course).

And at BCmcrider. I don't think I was at Hootenany. Kootenay 2010 I was there but I spent a lot of time hanging back so that our friend from Flin Flon, his way over packed bike, and girlfriend did not get lost. After all, he was a flat head from Manitoba adn they are not used to curves on the road. The biggest hill they have there is the approach to a railroad crossing.

Havoc may be gay and I didn't want to seem politically incorrect. You know how they get all pissy when they get upset. I know you can handle it..;)

I am not sure that New Jersey thing is law yet. The ruling was more (IMO) a first step with a ruling setting precedent. A hell of a good idea if it flys. As with most laws this potential "law" will go through a process and by the time the politician get er done there is a chance there will be a rider attached that prevents anyone from walking a duck on a leash except on Mondays from 0800 until 1430.

With all those tracking features on cells, proof may not be so hard to come by. Not a clue if they are talking about pnone to phone or another type computer.. Maybe some of the technodudes can chimp in..

To track the phone is easy. To prove who was actually using it would be a little more difficult. Unless there is a provision to hold the registered owner responsible much like we can here for RO's of vehicles committing Motor Vehicle Act Offences. A little off topic though. Get with it!

Oh, let's make sure we get the facts right. I was texting over 100mph on a freeway. :chaingun:

One of my favorite quotes in a Jimi Hendrix song... "I'm the one that's gonna die when it's time for ME to die.... so let me live my life the way I want to." Problem is, too many people don't have a life, so they have to butt into others' lives. That is all for today.

It was out in CA on... I think the 101... at 6:00am on a Saturday morning. I was headed to MotoGP! And yes, I read the replies and typed my messages quite successfully going over 100mph. It's all in the thread "Chicky goes to MotoGP and gets sideswiped". Too lazy to go get the link for you, but... if you really want to know you can read it there.

"Chicky goes to MotoGP and gets sideswiped" sounds like the title of a great kids book.

Jimi Hendrix ODd and died. He lives on in the mind of Paul Allen and "The Music Experience". Otherwise he just stole licks from Chuck Berry.

Anything to get texters and talkers off the street whilst driving or riding is a good topic. Many will go under the social Darwinism trend of thought affording junk yards lots of parts for our old cars and bikes.

where i live cagers and cops are always on there phone. I asked a buddy of mine who was a Lt in the BPD if it was legal for me to install a low frequancy jammer on my bike to kill all phones within say 15 to 20 ft of the bike. he said its not ilegal but unadvisable due to the fact that the idiots will probably swerve into my lane trying to figure out wtf just happend to there phones. He also brought up a point I didnt think of yet and that would be that all my electronics would stop working on my bike and person too. Great concept/bad idea. I will figure out a way one day until then I will have to settle for figuring out a sneeky way to rule the world from my computer at work......

If all of my electronics are down.... How would I be able to ride 100+/text/and look at the hotties as I blow past steering with my feet?

I remember them well, pity that bike but they did keep up fairly well.

Thought they were all called hootenanny. But that's only part of the story... On my way to South Dakota as I type. Mums the word then, or are you maintaining that it wasnt you who got the performance award?

Going to make a stopover in Lieth North Dakota. I hear it is a supreme place to visit these days. I am drawing a blank ( happens often these days) on the Kootenay reference. The only one I remember making any kind of performance accomplishment was Chomper trying to chase down that squid to let him know his buddy went flying over the concrete barriers into the toolies coming off the ferry. Or was that the same trip I had a nice visit with the Washington State trooper?

I reckon there are bikes that go fast but don't feel like they're going fast whilst doing it. I'd definitely put the VFR800 on the list - it's so smooth and the aerodynamics are spot on.

Then there are bikes that go fast but feel like they are going to disintegrate doing it. I'll put my Ducati on that list.

And finally there are bikes that feel like they're going fast but they're not... and I'd argue they are the most fun to ride!

The reason no one is touching this one is because everyone already knows that harleydoods don't need helmets.
