I know right....My cert ends Dec 31st.... I worked my butt off to get this and I don't want this to expire. Can you guess the last time that my company scheduled a class? It was in April for 3 weeks and I blew that off, why? Moto GP in Austin. Someone here doesn't want me to ride. Im just going to have to reschedule the ride. I hear Nov is nice. (again FML)

You know, actually I am going to San An. this weekend (caging). Wifes bday weekend. What are some cool things to see there. (Alamo/Riverwalk is already planned)

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g60956-Activities-San_Antonio_Texas.html Pretty much 1-20 are the most interesting things to do XD

I wouldn't risk the cert for a ride, so i totes understand XD It just has super shitty timing. SO many things had to line up for you not to go lol

I'll have this ride and see what november is up for afterward, October is just SERIOUSLY the BEST time to go on this ride, chances are that Lost Maples will have really good color too if anyone wants to stop by for a quick walk on one of the shorter trails. The temp should be perfect and hopefully it'll be a brisk sunny october day. November for this would mean much more fridged weather, PROBABLY rain (only really rains in the winter =p) and the trees won't be turning as much

For some of us this is a day ride. If you decide you want to make it down here a week or two after the "official" ride start a thread. Most likely several of us can get away for a day with a couple of weeks notice.

and for some of us it is a weekend escape with a bit of planning needed. I wish we all weren't so far apart. It's not just that Texas is huge, it would be nice to ride with other group members from the east and west coast, the UK and Down Under. That would be a freaking blast!

#2 (Texas shooting) Looks like it would be a blast.... #4 (Palmer golfing) Not sure I could pull off with the wife. She'd string me up by the nads on her birthday. And that wouldn't be hard since all she has to do is reach in her purse to get em'. :joker: :ballchain:

MEET LOCATION CHANGED, JUST DOWN THE ROAD, SAME TIME

Apparently Pipe Creek Cafe closed! The used to have EXCELLENT food, local quail and steaks with fresh made pies, but apparently the place took a dive for some reason =(

Backyard Bistro is the new location, right next to the old one, but this one has good food and is open XD

167 Panther Ridge, Pipe Creek, TX 78063

Update: Forecast for Leaky Texas (located on the three sisters) on the 19th is around 40% chance of precipitation, and 'scattered t-storms' 73-51 temperatures

As far as the rain goes, I'm sure we could at LEAST find a window to ride dry. Most likely, we won't even have to worry about it at all. Keep in mind this is a 10-day forecast so it's still now too accurate at the moment XD

Saturday is the LAST day that it's supposed to rain, so the skies should be drying up a lot by then (sunday has a 0% chance for instance)

Looks like overcast in the morning then clearing before noon. No chance of rain. That is for Kerrville according to weather underground.

My "+1" punked out but I'll still be there.

Also sent word to this guy letting him know our group will be in the area. http://www.txmotofoto.com If he is there you can get a nice ego shot a la Killboy, Palomar, etc. I think the last one I bought was like $7 for a very hi rez download.

Edit: Just heard from the TX Motofoto guys, they will be there Saturday.

OK Bizaatches....The diver has had a reprieve!!! I will be going. :party2:

I actually had to choose on what was more important. Recert-ing for my EMT and saving countless lives or riding the sisters....This is a true story that I just made up. Truth is that there is another class in Nov.

Weather looks like crap for Friday...I will be staying at a friends in Austin. Then Ill meet you hooligans at the bistro...Is there a time to meet up? Itll take me around 2 hours from Austin to get there. I also think the weather in the morning will dictate the time (supposed to be overcast in morning then clearing).

I'm guessing the same meet up time at the Bistro that we were going to meet up at for Pipe Creek, around 10 ish. I'll be leaving around 630 which should put me there around then.

Clarification: MEETING AT BACKYARD BISTRO AT 10AM ON THE 19TH (SATURDAY)

I'll be cancelling the camping at government canyon (friday night), unless you guys want to get rained on XD I only had one taker anyways and he wanted to go elsewhere. If you were planning on having this, contact me and I'll plan something out.

Backyard bistro is located in Pipe Creek.

I hate this but I am going to have to bow out. I can see the writing on the wall. I have a client going through a merger and I have been covered up all week. I don't see my schedule being anywhere clear enough to sneak off for a long weekend. I wish it didn't take a day's ride to get there.

If you can be in Waco at 6:00 Saturday morning you can put your bike on the trailer with mine. You can go down and ride for the day, ride back in the truck to Waco and get back to your place in time for a late supper. Instead of taking an entire weekend it will just be Saturday. Don't know if that solves your time problem or not but there's the offer.
