Hey guys, I'm in Florence SC but visit Greensboro NC fairly regularly and we also have a place in Chimney Rock NC(near Ashville) that I ride up to at least once a month for a long weekend. Hit me up anytime you are heading that way and we'll ride.

Also, Florence is close to Myrtle Beach...so if you are ever heading down that way I'm game for a ride there as well.

    Hey Y'all,

I live up in the foothills near Asheville. I mostly ride with friends that have cruisers but would jump at the chance for a more spirited pass through this portion of God's country. The beauty in these higher elevations never ceases to amaze me. Anyone in WNC, sound off. I'd be happy to expand my horizons with a few new riding buddies.

Hey Gunzer, you anywhere near Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area? It's 24 miles SE of Asheville. I have a vacation place up there and I'm usually up there with my bike at least once a month, sometimes more.

new to the vfr world! just got a 93 750 last week! rode the bike for about 150 miles before tearing it down. love it! finishing puttiing it back together tomorrow. went through and changed the oil, plugs, front wheel bearings, front tire, cleaned and recharged k&n air filter and fixed an exhaust leak on the rear left side(pain to get a broken stud out of that one) needless to say i have gotten real familier with her already! up in the havelock area but travel to and from here and sneads ferry often. looking forward to some great miles on the bike!

I'm in the Fayetteville area and looking to get a sixth gen VFR800 soon. Have wanted one for a while but bought a sports car instead. I'm hoping to find a good deal on a 2006 or later model in the coming months. Hopefully the bike will be a lot more trouble free than my Honda s2000. lol.

CLT boy right here. We have a huge group and ride all the time.

Anyone that wants to ride in Charlotte - or within about 200 miles of Charlotte haha, hit me up.

In the summer months we have rides almost daily. When it cools off we ride mostly weekends and if we hit a warm day (like today) during the week we'll ride.

Hi Y'all. For what it's worth, I started a VFR meetup group for Triangle area (Raleigh NC) Viffers.
    Here's the link: http://www.meetup.com/Triangle-VFR-Riders/

I have organized a meetup: coffee and ride -- this coming Saturday. I don't think much will happen until the weather improves in March… But if you're in the area and want someone to ride with, you know where to look.

Hi and welcome to the MadHouse!:welcome:

That is a fair swap as long as you still have access to this forum...?

When you get time, it will be good to head over to the introductions sub forum and tell us a bit more about your biking history and your bright red 91! - definitely the fastest colour:potstir:. (I see you have added some photos of your bike in the gallery, but if you want to add a photo into a post you just need to click the icon 2 to the right of the envelope symbol - then follow the instructions)

You may also want to take a browse through the many other sub-forums on here - where you may find reference documents and inspirations for upgrades and mods, or answers if you have specific questions on the rebuild. You may want to try out the search feature and read up on the electrical RR issues - which affected many of the early VFR's, as with the bike already in bits, its perhaps a good time to consider upgrades.

    Take care.
